Parent Testimonial:

My 10-year-old daughter has always had a difficult time with friendships, bullying, and managing heightened emotions. She’s a deep thinker with a very busy mind and often struggles to self-regulate. Emotionally, it’s been a tough road, and she wasn’t reaching out for help.

My sister mentioned Stephen to me, and as soon as I looked into Reflex Connect I knew it was for us. Speaking with Stephen I immediately found him incredibly easy to talk to. He’s genuinely interested in both you and your child as people.

We booked an appointment over a year ago and we haven’t looked back since. Stephen explained all the different reflexes and how they impact emotional and physical development. My daughter was treated for hip dysplasia as a toddler and missed out in the natural phase of reflex integration.

While I may not remember every name of the reflex what I do know is this: within the first few months, my daughter began to settle. She made new friends was much kinder to herself, opened up more, and slowly began to release the ball of anxiety and stress that had been building inside her.

She even started going to birthday parties where bullies were present – and enjoyed herself without letting it ruin her time. Her balance improved noticeably when we went for our follow up appointments with Stephen. Daily exercises are important and both parents and child need to do it together. On some level, she instinctively understood that something was shifting and connecting inside her. She went from going into Stephen head down not very chatty to nearly skipping in the door to see a friend!

Now, as we near the end of the process, I can honestly say I am so grateful for what Stephen does. He is people-focused, brilliant at what he does, and just an incredibly genuine person who has a gift and is great at what he does. If you’ve read his website and are considering filling out the questionnaire – don’t think twice. You won’t regret it.

The objective of the article is to outline the problem of neuromotor immaturity in the context of school functioning. Research on neuromotor immaturity has been reviewed for child development and difficulties at school. It has been established that neuromotor immaturity constitutes an area of interest of scientists in many fields, including neurobiology, medicine, psychology, and pedagogy.

Numerous studies provide information on the subject of the presence of a relationship between the student's difficulties in learning and neuromotor immaturity. The scientists reveal that children with problems in reading, writing, and counting show persistent and non-integrated primitive reflexes.

The phenomenon is increasingly often observed in students at the stage of the elementary school not only in Poland but also in the world. The awareness of the problem and the expanding knowledge on neuromotor immaturity can contribute to a better understanding of the school difficulties of students and to using preventative measures and effective interventions.
