Delighted to be asked to do a little Brídeog making ceremony at An Gailearaí, Gweedore

In preparation for Brigid's Day, we gather to create our Brídeog. We will each set an intention and then make a simple, wee doll, which will hold that intention for us throughout the year.
The Brídeog can be made from a variety of materials and no special skills are required. Rushes, sticks and scraps of fabric are commonly used. Some materials will be provided but do bring along any materials you would like to use in your Brídeog. Natural materials are best, so if you're bringing fabric go for cotton, silk or wool, if possible. We will tie, wrap, weave, sew or stick our materials together to create our doll, so don't worry if you don't have any sewing skills. This is a simple craft which anyone can do.

Happy to be in Tonn Na Beatha again. I'm changing days though, so you can see me there on Fridays in the coming weeks. I'm still offering sessions in the client's home for anyone who prefers that and offering distant healing for those further away.

In a sound healing session, I use tuning forks, voice, and a variety of other instruments to help with various physical and emotional issues.

The shamanic healing is useful for physical and emotional healing, dealing with life issues and changes, personal development, and spiritual searching. If you're interested in exploring shamanism or would like to deepen your practice, come sit in circle at Teach na nAmhrán (The Song House). In each of the four sessions we will work with a theme related to this transitional time, moving from Winter to Spring, from ending to beginning, from the year of the Snake to the year of the Horse. Those new to shamanism and experienced practitioners are equally welcome.

Not sure if it's for you? I'm happy to talk you through what to expect and answer any questions.

Maximum number of participants is 13 so booking is important.

For those of you who like to explore in a group setting, the shamanic circle will start up again in a few weeks. Dates tbc but I'm taking expressions of interest. Places will be limited to 12.

A slow, slow morning, integrating all the energies of the solstice work yesterday. Tired and grateful. Grateful for the gorgeous people who threw themselves into the work with us yesterday. Grateful for the gifts of the darkness and the Cailleach and the still point of the year.

As my face says so clearly, I'm knackered now and heading into a week or two of quiet and rest, family time, nature time; tending to my own roots and feeling into the wisdom there.

I'll be back (in a non-Arnie style or, who knows, maybe full on Terminator 😂) on 5th January for in-person and distant healing. Although, of course, I'll see some of you at Death Cafe on Monday 29th at 11am in The Song House.

Not sure what January has in store but the shamanic circle will start up in the latter half of the month and you can message me to express interest for that and provisionally book a place. Days and times tbc.

Wishing you all fun, joy and ease over the festive period. May the quiet beauty of mid winter nourish and restore you.

At the portal of the solstice, there's an invitation to let the Cailleach take you by the hand and lead you into the very depths of the darkness. Turn away from the bright lights- little imitations of our sun which is at its weakest- and let your eyes rest, let your body rest, let your heart and soul rest, here in the darkness. There's nothing to do. Nothing you have to be. Let the darkness hold you: non-performing, raw and real. And let it reflect to you your essence. Rest here. Rest and know that you are enough.

May this mid winter time bring you peace and nourishment.
