Anyome want a stress tip....Yes!!?? ok..here it is. its worth a couple of minutes read, I promise!
So when your stressed, you are likely to be in you head having a dialogue or seing a visual of the situation that is currrently activating your stress. First VERY importany point is that, a solution to this stressful situation exists, but you cant "see" it when your stressed, you can only have steressfull thoughts about that situaton, - to allow your brain to show you a solution (which it can, without you having to "figure it out" yourself) you need to be In a receptive mood, which is a mood of ease peace relaxation.
So how do you achieve that....? There are multiple ways I have learned over the years to deal with my own stresses. Here is just one of them. When your in your head, you are perpetuating the stressfull thoughts..so, instead of spinning around in your head, start moving your attention out of your thinking brain and into your body, and find somewhere IN YOUR BODY that is in contact with something (TOUCH SENSATION). it could be your hand on a cushion, your feet on the floor, the feeling of your bum on the seat, or even the sensation of your breath coming in and out of your nose. It doesnt matter what it is. The main thing is to look for a NEUTRAL sensation in your body, something that feels ok. It may take a bit of will power to stay with this practice long enough to feel it working, but stick with it, everytime you notice that you pop back into the thinking mind, gently bring your attention back to the sensation, again, and agian and again. Eventually, you will notice yourself begin to calm down,..why? because you have taken your attention away from the thing that generates the stressfull experience, YOUR MIND! When your attention is not up there in your head thinking those thoughts, the stress isnt being regenerated, and your body begins to calm down.
Try it..this simle practivce has saved me from many a stressful state. And I have noticed time and tiem again, once I find peace...a creative insight or solution "pops" into my head and voila! preoblem solved. Try it out and let me know how you get on.
