As the seasons change and warmer days beckon why not dust off the winter cobwebs with a Creative Writing and Wellness Retreat that will soothe your soul and ignite your imagination.

Set in the picturesque village of Glaslough, The Rambler’s Rest will be your base.
This cosy nest is surrounded by the Castle Leslie estate, beautiful walks and woodland where nature, folklore and history all meet at the border.

Together Amanda Maria and Fionnuala Cassidy (The Story Weaver) will guide you. Over one weekend we will help you to reset your mind using pen prompts and wellness techniques, giving you an inner toolkit for self-care and artistic expression.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days. Details about accomodation can also be given on request.

Have you heard of the Merlin App?! It’s a fantastic way of identifying the birds you hear calling or singing around you.

Hearing the birds sing is one of THE most joyful experiences for me, especially these days with the brighter mornings.

Even though the individual bird names themselves aren’t important, (we’re all one after all), it somehow helps me feel more connected, to be able to identify which bird I can hear and to know them a little better, it’s magic! A little like knowing someone’s name compared to not knowing it. Check out the app, I think it’s class.

It warms my heart each year, to see these little beauties pop up🌱

Let us look toward the months ahead by asking ourselves "What is it I want to welcome?"

On this glorious sunny Sunday in January, may we let go of the idea that we are separate from the rest of creation and wholeheartedly welcome the vast opportunities to unite with our surroundings.

May we let go of inattentiveness to beauty dwelling around us and welcome the joys and surprising wonders each day contains.

Wishing us ALL many quiet moments in nature this year, with the Keeper of our hearts.
