We are now taking bookings for our Brigid 1500 Free Family Fun Saturday Sessions, email kildaretownforestschool@gmail.com now to register.
These sessions are an introduction to forest school with the whole family to see if it is something that will work for you. During these sessions we will connect our outdoor learning to Brigid the woman, the life and the legacy.
Brigid herself was deeply connected with nature , she had many animal companions such as the fox, the falcon and the dog. Forest school allows us the time to slow down and rekindle these innate connections and help us understand the power of nature.
Sessions are normally priced from €20 - €30 per person per session , these are kindly funded by Brigid 1500 and Kildare County Council and are FREE!
Have you heard about Forest School?
Forest school is the opportunity for children to spend time outdoors and connect with nature. Studies have shown that spending time in nature can have numerous physical and mental health benefits, including reducing stress and improving overall well-being.
Participants develop important life skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making. In a natural setting, children are faced with challenges that require them to think critically and work together to find solutions. These skills are important not just in school, but in life as well.
So, if you're looking for an educational approach that is a bit different from the traditional classroom setting, consider forest school. You and your child may just discover a love of learning that they never knew they had.
