Coming home from a long trip with our National League team to seeing Leeloo with her Irish reversible from the u14 academy was EXACTLY how I needed my day to end. Everything gets so competitive so fast…it is so refreshing to get to see her be a couple years young and just get to be in it without any fear of failure or pressure to perform. Imagine if all of our young people could approach hard things with that vigour and courage and zest. Super proud of her for doing a really hard thing today against a whole bunch of super talented young ladies in Gormonston. The two of us butt heads and we’re slowly coming around to figuring each other out, but she KNOWS that when push comes to shove, I’ve got her back. Family is much more than just blood. I’m so happy to get to see the start of her basketball journey, wherever it shall lead to.

Eat the sweets, stay in your pyjamas all day, watch the sappy movies, and make sure you tune in to the NBA later on 😎. Most importantly, just enjoy being around people you love. All of the other things and problems and whatever will be there tomorrow. TODAY is a joyous day. Our Lord and Saviour was born! Rejoice and have peace.
