World Menopause Day is held each year on the 18th October, to raise awareness, break the stigma and share support available for improving health and wellbeing for those experiencing menopause. For those going through peri-menopause and menopause, some studies have researched the effects of Reflexology on a few of the common symptoms. One such study found a reduction in sleep disorder (1), whilst another investigated the effects of Reflexology treatments on hot flushes, sweats, and night sweats, concluding that it may be effective in (2) decreasing this problem. A third study found that Reflexology reduced ‘state’ anxiety and (3) cardiovascular activity within healthy individuals, consistent with stress-reduction.
As a practicing Life Coach and Reflexologist I can help you navigate through this process.
