Yesterday I fitted another set of Silversplints by 🤍

This client travelled 4 hours for her appointment and left with the support she had been needing — and waiting for — for a long time.

Getting Silversplints made starts with a thorough assessment, which guides the choice of the most appropriate splinting solution. Precise measurements are then taken and sent to the WeDesign Silver Splints headquarters in the Netherlands. Once the splints are ready, the client returns for their fitting.

Fitting is a hands-on process and often involves specialist tools, small tweaks, and fine adjustments — all to ensure the splints fit comfortably and work exactly as they should.

The final result is a beautiful, functional, and long-lasting form of support for unstable or painful joints. Silversplints are particularly suitable for people with arthritis, hypermobility, or EDS.

5 months post fracture with a central slip injury to the ring finger. Persistent stiffness, pain with flexion, and use avoidance.
A volar shift at the MCP joint was only partially corrected with K-taping.
Once the NRX extension assist was applied, the MCP joint was stabilised and full, pain-free finger flexion was possible.
Small changes can make big impact 👍.

✨ Our very first virtual NRX-STRAP workshop was a success! ✨

We sent the materials ahead of time and then spent the session working through upper limb and lower limb applications, step by step — all online.

Two days, two therapists, and over 20 custom splints later 🙌
We dived deep into NRX strap materials and thermoplastics, with a special focus on supporting athletes returning to sport after injury or surgery.
Huge thanks to our brilliant participants — we’re excited to see these new skills and NRX knowledge passed on to their patients 💪✨
