The Supreme Haircut Champion stood out with its overall conformation, strong depth through the midsection, and excellent set in the hind quarters, truly a haircut to make farming proud.

We’re delighted to be back at Dairy Day 🐮 tomorrow, 11th September – the UK’s leading free-to-attend dairy event – at the Telford International Centre, TF3 4JH. 📍

🐄Join us at Stand F3, where the Forte Healthcare team will be on hand to share expert advice on calf scour solutions, including Charcovet Gel, LOCATIM, Hydrafast, and Procud.

This year also marks the launch of our LOCATIM Locks Competition – Forte’s search for the Supreme Haircut… a haircut to make farming proud. Step up to our selfie board, take part in the judging fun, and you could be in with a chance to win one of our prizes.

Protecting valuable Simmental calves from scour in early life🐮

Nevin Smith is a vet and pedigree Simmental farmer based in Coleraine, in Northern Ireland. Nevin is a member of the Northern Irish Simmental Club and British Simmental Society and has a herd of 25 pedigree Simmental cows. As pedigree beef cattle are extremely valuable, Nevin ensures his newborn calves have additional protection against scour in early life so that they thrive from birth. Click play to hear more!

Mayo vet discusses his dealings with calf scour over the years🐮

Paul Cummins is a large animal vet from Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo with a sheep and suckler farming background. Paul has now been in practice for 27 years and during this time established Ballinrobe Veterinary Practice.
