SPOILING YOUR VOTE FAVOURS THE GOVERNMENT:

As the upcoming presidential election in Ireland approaches, every voters voice holds the potential to shape our collective future. Casting a valid vote is not just a right but a vital responsibility that empowers you to influence the direction of our country.

Spoiling your vote may seem like an act of protest or a way to express dissatisfaction, but it ultimately diminishes your influence and obscures your message. When you spoil your vote, you forfeit your opportunity to contribute to the democratic process and potentially pave the way for a candidate whose vision aligns more closely with your values. In this particular election, with two of the three candidates representing government parties, a spoilt vote is playing into the hands of the government and strengthening their chances of a seat in the รras.

Every valid vote strengthens the foundation of our democracy by ensuring that the collective will of the people is accurately represented. It is through participation, not protest through spoiled ballots, that change is effectively realised.

This election is your chance to shape Ireland's future. Whether your passion lies in social issues, economic growth, international issues, or any other area, a valid vote is your most powerful tool to advocate for the changes you wish to see.

Engage in the democratic process. Use your vote thoughtfully and if you were considering spoiling your vote to protest against those in power and the decisions being made in Ireland at the moment, then why not consider voting for Catherine Connolly, as the only candidate who does not represent the government parties of Fianna Fรกil and Fine Gael?

Think of all those who have gone before us, making the ultimate sacrifice, giving up their lives for our right to vote. Don't just throw that right away. I urge you to make your voices heard on 24th October and vote Catherine Connolly No. 1.

We had a photographer out yesterday to take photos for the Irish Examiner and David kindly sent me on this photo of Katie and I. This is my reason for fighting every day. To see her laugh like this after everything she's gone through is just so beautiful.
It's just us but it sums us up and no matter what life throws at us we will keep smiling and laughing.
The picture was taken by the very talented David Creedon. Check out his website

We are delighted to say that our recent membership survey shows that 73% rated NAI as a very effective advocacy organisation and that 60% are very proud of their membership with the Neurological Alliance of Ireland ๐Ÿ’œ
