✨ Dry Needling – Release Pain at the Source ✨

Do you suffer with tight muscles, stubborn knots, or pain that just won’t shift no matter how much you stretch?

Dry needling is a highly effective treatment used to release deep muscle tension and trigger points (those painful knots we often feel during massage).

🔹 What happens during dry needling?
Very fine sterile needles are gently inserted into tight muscle areas. This stimulates the muscle to release, improves blood flow, and helps reset the muscle so it can function normally again.

🔹 What can it help with?
• Chronic muscle tightness
• Neck and shoulder pain
• Back pain
• Sciatica
• Sports injuries
• Headaches and migraines
• Plantar fasciitis
• Long-standing knots that massage alone can't fully release

🔹 What does it feel like?
You might feel a quick twitch or dull ache in the muscle — this is actually a good sign the muscle is releasing. Most people feel lighter, looser, and have better movement afterwards.

💆‍♀️ Dry needling works beautifully alongside massage therapy, helping to release deeper tension and speed up recovery.

If you’ve been living with tight muscles or persistent pain, this treatment can make a huge difference.

✨ What are “knots” really? ✨

You’ve probably said it (or heard it!)
“I’m full of knots” 🤍

But what are they actually?

Those “knots” you feel aren’t literal knots in the muscle — they’re areas of tight, overworked muscle fibres, often called trigger points.
They can feel like small lumps, tender spots, or bands of tension under the skin.

💭 What you might feel:
• Deep aching or tightness
• Tender spots when pressed
• Pain that travels (referred pain)
• Stiffness or reduced movement
• That “good pain” feeling when worked on

🌿 Why do they happen?
Our bodies hold onto more than we realise…
• Stress & emotional tension
• Poor posture (hello desk life!)
• Repetitive movements
• Overuse or injury
• Not enough rest or recovery

🤲 How massage helps release them:
Massage works by gently and intentionally encouraging the muscle to let go.

During a treatment I may use:
• Slow, deep pressure
• Myofascial release
• Trigger point therapy
• Stretching techniques

This helps to:
✨ Increase blood flow
✨ Reduce tension in the fibres
✨ Calm the nervous system
✨ Restore movement and ease

💫 That “release” feeling…
That melt, that exhale, that “oh wow” moment…
That’s your body shifting out of tension and into relaxation.

Sometimes it can feel tender, emotional, or even surprising — and that’s completely normal 🤍

🌲 A gentle reminder
Knots don’t appear overnight… and they don’t always disappear in one session.
But with consistent care, your body softens, unwinds, and feels safe to let go.

If your body has been whispering (or shouting) for relief… I’ve got you 🤍

Reflexology & Endometriosis Support 🌿

Living with endometriosis can be exhausting — chronic pain, inflammation, fatigue, hormonal imbalance and emotional strain can all take their toll.

Reflexology offers a gentle, holistic way to support the body during this journey.

By working on specific reflex points on the feet that correspond with the reproductive system, nervous system and endocrine glands, reflexology may help to:

✨ Encourage deep relaxation
✨ Support hormone balance
✨ Reduce stress and tension in the body
✨ Improve circulation
✨ Help the body move out of “fight or flight” mode
✨ Support overall wellbeing during flare-ups

Many women with endometriosis find reflexology helps them reconnect with their body in a safe, calming way — especially when pain and inflammation have been overwhelming.

Each treatment is tailored to how you are feeling on the day, creating space for your body to rest, reset and rebalance.

Your body is not working against you — it just needs support. 🤍

The psoas is often where we hold deep stress and past tension 🤎

This powerful core muscle is closely linked to your fight-or-flight response. When you’ve been under long-term stress, anxiety, or emotional strain, it can stay switched on — holding tight without you even realising.

When I gently work this area during massage, it can feel tender or sore at first. That’s completely normal.

It may mean the muscle has been guarding, protecting, and holding onto tension for a long time.

As it begins to release, clients often experience:
✨ A deep sense of relief
✨ Looser hips and lower back
✨ Easier breathing
✨ Feeling calmer or grounded
✨ Sometimes an emotional release

Your body isn’t being dramatic — it’s unwinding.

We always go slowly, gently, and within your comfort, allowing the nervous system to feel safe enough to let go 🌿

✨ NEW TREATMENT COMING SOON ✨

Dry Needling / Trigger Point Therapy

I’m delighted to be introducing Dry Needling Trigger Point Therapy to my treatment menu very soon 🤍

From 22nd February, I’ll be fully qualified and offering this treatment here in my cabin space, alongside my existing holistic therapies.

Dry needling is a gentle but effective technique that targets tight, overworked muscles and trigger points, helping the body to:
• Release deep muscle tension
• Reduce pain and stiffness
• Improve movement and mobility
• Support faster recovery from injury or strain

Although it uses fine, sterile needles, this treatment is very different from acupuncture — it’s focused specifically on muscular trigger points and is always tailored to your comfort and needs.

As always, treatments are carried out in a calm, safe and nurturing environment, with full consultation and aftercare guidance.

✨ Dry Brushing + Red Light Therapy for Fibromyalgia ✨
Gentle support for a sensitive nervous system 🌿

Living with fibromyalgia means your body often feels overstimulated, inflamed, and exhausted. Even nurturing therapies can sometimes feel like too much — and this can happen with massage for some people.

That’s why how we support the body matters.

💫 Gentle dry brushing (always adapted for sensitivity) can help to:
🌿 Encourage lymphatic flow without deep pressure
🌿 Support circulation in tired, achy muscles
🌿 Reduce that heavy, “stagnant” feeling many fibro clients describe
🌿 Reconnect safely with the body at your own pace

🔴 Red Light Therapy (RLT) works quietly in the background, supporting the body at a cellular level:
• Helps reduce inflammation
• Supports muscle & joint comfort
• Encourages tissue repair
• Promotes relaxation of the nervous system
• Can help ease widespread pain & fatigue over time

Together, dry brushing + RLT offer non-invasive, calming support — no force, no deep pressure, no “powering through”.

✨ Sessions are always:
✔ Pressure-aware & consent-led
✔ Adapted to pain & flare levels
✔ Focused on calming the nervous system first

This is about helping your body feel safe, supported, and listened to 🤍
Especially on days when massage just feels like too much.
