Healing from trauma is rarely a straight path. Some days you might feel like your finally moving forward, while other days you're triggered, stuck in bed or questioning if you will ever heal. That doesn't mean you are failing, it means you are human.

Ups and downs are part of the process. Every relapse, every setback, is still part of the journey towards wholeness.

Be gentle with yourself because the fact that you're still here trying, that already shows your strength.

When we are triggered in our adult bodies, we react at the age of when we first experienced the trauma, this could be as young as 5 or 6 yrs old. We feel confused and overwhelmed. Through counselling it helps us to move into that emotional and physical pain, in a safe, slow and compassionate way. We start to understand ourselves with clarity, self-compassion and self-awareness. We begin to give ourselves that missing experience we never received as children ❤️
