Carotenoids are plant colour pigments that give yellow, orange, and red colours in foods. So think sweet potatoes, carrots, tomatoes etc. These substances are fat soluble antioxidants that have benefits for:

✅ Cardiovascular health - reduce oxidation of cholesterol and triglycerides which can trigger endothelial damage, the first stages of heart disease.
