L A S T C A L L for The Wise Woman’s Rites of Passage - First Threshold - this Sunday 22nd February in Sligo.

Co-facilitated with Veronica Larsson and Anne-Marie Southcombe.

Rites of passage used to mark important life transitions.

They acknowledged changes in the body, the psyche, and our roles in community.

They acknowledged the turning of the seasons, the elements, the wider rhythms of nature.

They acknowledged both the inner shifts we go through and the outer cycles of nature and season.

They gave meaning to change

While the practices and traditions of old may have fallen away, the thresholds themselves have not. We still move through menarche, motherhood, loss, menopause, ageing.

We still change.

This work is about consciously marking those transitions. About recognising the wisdom of the female body and psyche, and the lineage we come from.

Not recreating the past. But restoring space for acknowledgement, ceremony and reflection in the present.

The Wise Woman’s Rites of Passage | The First Threshold

This day is for adult women whether you are menstruating, peri menopausal, or post menopausal.

Many women haven’t thought about their first bleed in years. Some never think about it at all. And yet, that moment marked a real initiation one that continues to shape how we live in our bodies across a lifetime.

🌹That threshold mattered.🌹

Whether it was met with shame, confusion, silence, pride, grief, celebration, or not met at all - the body remembers, even when the mind has moved on.

This day is not about reliving girlhood or romanticising the past.

It’s about meeting that first threshold as the woman you are now, with context, agency, and choice.

We’ll spend time in guided reflection and shared inquiry, before gathering in ceremony. The ceremony itself will be co created on the day and entered into by choice.

Why would someone attend this day?

Because whether we named it or not, that moment shaped us.

Most women crossed the threshold of their first bleed without context, without language, and often without care.

We learned something in that moment about our bodies, about visibility, about inconvenience, about shame or responsibility or silence.

Those learnings didn’t stay in adolescence. They travelled with us into work, intimacy, rest, productivity, and how much we trust our bodies now.

This isn’t about fixing the past or making it beautiful.
It’s about acknowledging that it mattered.

When something real is recognised, even decades later, the body often softens.

Choice returns.

Relationship shifts.

That alone is reason enough to come.

✨The Wise Woman’s Rites of Passage✨

Over the course of this series, we follow the arc of women’s living initiations and ceremonies for the different stages of life, restoring the ancient practice of marking and honouring these thresholds. This is a body of work I’m co facilitating with Veronica Larsson

From menarche to menopause and beyond, we move through profound changes in our bodies, relationships, roles, and inner lives. These thresholds still happen, whether we name them or not. Much of the traditional support for marking them has been lost, yet the need for recognition, context, and holding remains.

This series follows the living arc of a woman’s life through the seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. It is about restoring space to pause, reflect, and be witnessed in change, rather than navigating these transitions alone.

The work weaves together women’s wisdom teachings, gentle embodied practices, and time both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting). Each gathering may include ceremony, initiation, ritual moments, guided reflection, journey work, and opportunities to reconnect with self, nature, and community.

In this context, a rite of passage is a way of consciously marking a transition, honouring what is ending, what is emerging, and what is being carried forward.

While the series has a natural progression across the year, it is also possible to attend individual days or weekends. Each gathering stands alone while also contributing to the wider arc of the work.

As we near the end of January, we’re on the cusp of the transition into spring.

You may still be in hibernation mode, or perhaps you’re starting to feel the pull of renewal and fresh beginnings.

This February, I’m feeling called to open up the conversation on women’s wisdom. I’m moving through the menopause transition myself, and it’s reminding me how important it is to have spaces to share, listen, and explore what’s true.

Whatever phase of life you’re in… these gatherings are for women to reconnect with their inner knowing. Even if you’re supporting a woman in your life, you can encourage her to engage in this conversation.

Together, we can learn from each other and reclaim the wisdom that often goes unspoken.

Women’s Wisdom Gathering • Imbolc • 1 February

On 1 February I’m holding the first in a series of Women’s Wisdom gatherings.

This one is a two-hour, in-person space to slow down, arrive in the body, and gather with other women in a simple, grounded way.

We’ll be working with the festival of Imbolc (the Celtic Wheel of the Year), and the presence of Brigid, exploring renewal, inner fire, and the different phases of a woman’s life.

The gathering will include:
• gentle meditation & visualisation
• guided reflection
• journalling
• sharing circle
• simple intention-setting ritual
• herbal tea
• song

This is not about fixing, striving, or performing.
It’s a space to listen to ourselves and each other, to remember our inner wisdom and be with what is emerging.

Earth-Based, Ritual & Ancestral Work 🪶

This strand of my work is rooted in relationship, with the land, with ancestors, and with the deeper layers of experience that shape who we are.

It includes:

• Ancestral healing workshops
• Grief and gratitude ceremonies
• Song circles & earth-based practices
• Initiations, rites & ceremonial work offered thoughtfully and intentionally

These offerings are not frequent or fixed, but arise carefully in response to what feels needed.

The focus is on connection, reflection, and holding space for transitions, rather than on doing or achieving.

The focus here is on embodiment and integration, rather than striving or achieving.

It’s about listening to your body, tending your nervous system, and finding tools and practices that feel sustainable and supportive for you.

Women’s Wisdom 🌹
This strand of my work is centred around women gathering together through the seasons, to pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves, their cycles, and one another.

These gatherings and retreats draw on women’s wisdom teachings, the Celtic Wheel of the Year, and the natural rhythms of life, including the embodied wisdom of menstrual cycles, menopause, and the transitions we move through across a lifetime.

They offer spacious, grounded environments where there is no pressure to perform or arrive in a certain way.

Some gatherings are shorter circles or workshops; others are full-day or weekend retreats. All are held with care, simplicity, and respect for where each woman is in her own journey.

This work may resonate if you’re longing for:

Still in the dreamtime ✨

I’ve been sitting with my work for the past few weeks. Listening, tuning in, and trying not to pressure myself into decisions.

I’m learning more deeply about my Human Design and what it means for me to live as a Generator… to respond rather than initiate… to let life come to me… and to notice what my body says yes to.

Truth be told, I’ve been learning about this for years (and the practical application continues to fascinate me) but we’re so conditioned to decide from the mind, from “shoulds,” or from pressure, that it can be easy to override what the body is actually saying.

I love the work I do. I’m happy to show up, hold space, and be in the energy of it. What I don’t love is the marketing, the numbers, the constant pushing or proving.

Over the past few years, I’ve felt a real yearning for more order, consistency, and ease - both in my work and in my nervous system.

So I’m staying in the unfolding this year... Dreaming it into being without getting too attached to outcomes.

Asking myself:

What is being drawn to me?
What am I responding to?
What feels like a true yes - in my body?

When I manage to live this way, something settles.

There’s more ease, more trust, more clarity.

It’s not always easy in the world we live in but it feels deeply worth trying.

This way of listening has been instrumental in how I’m shaping the year ahead and I’m really trying to trust it and let it guide me more. Feeling a full body YES to that!! 🤞🏼😅🙏🏻☺️❤️
