Homeopathy is such a gentle yet deep acting modality to support children with ADHD and autism. Hearing feedback like this 8 weeks into homeopathic treatment is always encouraging, and it's only the beginning!
Thanks to this mom for letting me share her sons experience, which gives other families hope who have n't experienced progress like this even after trying many different modalities and interventions.
💫 He's willing to take the remedies, which is such a big win because we expected him to refuse.
💫 Speech & communication: he is using more words. He's making a lot more effort to communicate, more persistence in communication. It has been really nice to see a desire to communicate.
💫 Emotional dysregulation: Less incidences of crying loudly. Generally, no behaviour issues. He's managing emotions better. There's a reduction in outbursts. Overall he is more calm and less stimming.
💫 Sensory: Before he would only wear long sleeves even on hot days. He's now wearing T-shirts. Reduction in auditory sensitivity. He doesn't wear ear defenders as much when he goes out. Before noise was intolerable. He would have to cover his ears and cry. e.g. airport. He doesn't seem as distressed with loud sounds.
💫Bowel movements happening 9 out of 10 days. Before he used to miss 5 + days out of 10.
💫 No acute illnesses since starting homeopathic remedies.
For most parents initial gains like this, although huge, feel small because there's still a huge mountain to climb. Achieving ones treatment goals still feels very far away. Oftentimes, parents might think there's been no change at all until we go over the main issues we discussed at their first appointment, and then they realise how many areas have improved. This is one of the reasons follow-ups are such an important part of the homeopathic process. I always explain to parents that there's several layers to address. The longer one commits to the process the greater the collective gains will be.
