Fertility is an area that is very close to my heart. Reflexology is one of the tools I used through my own journey of fertility & pregnancy loss and also the reason I decided to become a Reflexologist. I am hugely passionate about helping others who find themselves struggling to conceive or in the depths of grief after loss.
Battling through this can take a massive emotional, mental, physical and sometimes financial toll. Therefore, it is more important than ever to look after yourself and find the support that you need.
Today I am going to focus on some of the ways in which Reflexology can support your reproductive health....
🪷 Hormone Balance: Stimulating specific reflexes can help regulate hormones essential for reproduction, such as, estrogen & progesterone in females, and testosterone in men. The pituitary gland in particular plays a crucial role in the production of the above hormones.
🪷 Menstrual Cycle Regulation: Reflexology can help regulate your cycle and improve PMS symptoms. A more regular cycle can help you to better identifity when ovulation takes place and therefore better identify your fertile window.
🪷 Reproductive Organ Health & other conditions: Reflexology can improve the health & function of the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus & te**es by working the reflex points linked to these areas. It can also help with symptoms of conditions such as endometriosis and PCOS.
🪷 Improved Circulation: Reflexology increases oxygen & nutrient flow by improving blood flow to the pelvic area and reproductive organs. This helps create an ideal environment for conception.
🪷 Stress Reduction & Overall Wellbeing: If you have been trying to conceive for a while, I bet you've heard the phrase "just relax and it will happen" more than once! While I don't believe that stress alone will prevent you from getting pregnant, I do believe that it's extremely important to try and manage your stress at a very challenging time for your physical, mental and emotional health. Reflexology promotes relaxation, reduces stress & anxiety, helps release pent-up emotions, increases energy and improves sleep. All of these things will help the overall flow of energy and balance within your body and ridding it of unwanted toxins, which in turn will help your overall feeling of wellbeing.
