A new week is upon us and the diary has already been booking up for treatments! 📒

If you are having an injury, need guidance with rehab or in need of an assessment - we have some remaining appointments available this week for you!

Some of you may have had a busy sporting weekend, such as a difficult race or intense workout and be starting to feel muscles you thought you never had!🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♂️

Over the next 24-72 hrs you may be feeling delayed onset of muscle soreness in response to that activity! Firstly, its important to recognize that this response is normal! But here are some tips to help reduce that soreness.

1. Keep active; for example a gentle slow paced low intensity walk to keep you moving
2. Replenish the stores; get good food and fuel on board!
3. Stretch; I would recommend only light stretching of major muscle groups i.e. hamstrings, quads and lower back, keep it active, do not over strain & allow yourself to increase your range of motion over the coming days
4. Foam rolling; a day or two after strenuous exercise foam rolling may even be too sore for some, so no need to "feel the burn" here by any means! Add this to your stretching routine!
5. Massage; alternatively a soft or deep tissue massage to loosen out tight muscles, improve range of motion and decrease pain would be beneficial

Do you have pain radiating down your arm?😰

Nerve-like pain or entrapment can be extremely debilitating to your daily function.

Physiotherapy is vital to get rid of your pain. A thorough examination of your presentation is required to provide a plan individual to you!

Common symptoms include:
Numbness, tingling, altered sensation
Localised or referred pain
Muscle weakness
Burning or electric shock-like symptoms

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms above - get in touch with your physiotherapist to get you back pain free!

Any form of injury, pain, or discomfort can be detrimental to your health. It can reduce your time spent doing activities you enjoy or affect your work.

You can also spend a lot of €€€ by chasing around looking for the answers to why you are in pain & how you can resolve it.
