Open Arms Kerry Open Arms Kerry (Oak) Is A Community Initiative In The Area Of Mental Health. It is a volunteer led service whose aim is to help those in crisis.

Join us irrespective of any experience you might feel you need. You don't need any. We are looking to gain support, services & time on a voluntary basis. We feel that together we can help support eachother when in crisis. A Drop In Centre is needed and our government sent a clear message when they took €12 million from the mental health budget. We are looking at You to help set up a Drop In Centre in Tralee. We need you whether you have experience or not. We all have something to offer eachother. This meeting on June 30th is open to all. We have a lot to offer each other. =)

Just a reminder to everyone that Shanakill Family Resource Centre is hosting a Youth Club for 11 to 16 year olds!
The Youth Club takes place weekly on Thursdays and Fridays from 6:30p.m. until 8p.m.
To join either call the centre at 0667127831, Caroline at 0892133448, or come along on Thursday or Friday.
Some of the activities we plan on running in the future include:
Air Hockey
Soccer
Pool competition
Cooking
Mindfulness and positive mental health
Nail art
Movie Nights
Trips

The information night will take place tomorrow, Wednesday the 4th of October at 7p.m. at Shanakill Family Resource Centre.

The resilience and strength in the face of adversity....trying to beat 55 days across the Atlantic, from one storm to another he rocked into Galway after 112 days rowing from New York! Was met 2 days before off Kerry by a boat out from Fenit.... he was delighted they gave him packs of digestive biscuits.... the small things that matter after 99 days without seeing anyone else!
