In collaboration with Galway sports partnership we will be holding a once off activator poles walk to help people get the feel for it and see if it is something they would participate in. Which will be held in the Palace Grounds next Thursday the 6th.

Activator pole walking is generally considered to be suitable for a wide range of people, including older adults, those recovering from surgery, or individuals with conditions like arthritis, Parkinson's, or MS. The poles provide stability and support, improving posture, flexibility, and balance without being excessively strenuous, making it a safe, low-impact exercise. It may increase energy expenditure and heart rate in people with conditions like COPD.

Requirements : Be able to walk 1km
No major health issues

Congratulations on the award ! Tuam Tidy Town

We are thrilled to announce that Tuam has been awarded a Bronze Medal at this year's National Tidy Towns Competition 🥉. This achievement is the result of years of hard work, dedication and community spirit.
Thank you to the entire Tuam Tidy Town community and committee who's commitment has laid the foundations for this success.
We are so grateful to the local businesses and sponsors who took part in this year's Hanging Basket scheme, those who joined our weekly litter picks and all who supported our various initiatives during the year.
A special mention to Matthew and Gabriel of
Association for their enthusiasm and fantastic contribution not forgetting Michael Waldron and Neil Tully who looked after the hanging baskets with regular weekly watering.
Tuam is truly on the up and up - and with continued teamwork, pride and passion we can all raise the bar even higher next year.
