🕊️ CRY Ireland awareness 🕊️

Today marks the 4th anniversary of my beautiful friend Cat who heartbreakingly gained her wings in 2021 from SADS🪽.

I've held a number of yoga fundraising events in Cat's memory and to anyone that may be in need of support, please reach out to CRY as they do so much amazing work. All services provided by CRY Ireland are entirely free and all funding received goes towards raising awareness,, their diagnostic centre and counselling support for families.

Today is a mix of sorrow and joy for me as I celebrate my little son Jude's 2nd birthday. Grief and happiness can truly coexist and today is proof of that ❤️

I would love to invite all my postnatal m**s to a little gathering next Tuesday morning at 11am until 1pm in the Courthouse Bailieborough for chats, yoga and coffee! If you are a past pregnancy yoga student of mine, I would absolutely love to see you (and your baby!) and I encourage you to extend the invitation to any other new m**s in the area! As a new mam myself, I have really benefited from attending anything new mam related here in Clontarf. Getting out of the house (and my head!) for a couple of hours, meeting new m**s and chatting all things babies and not babies (for our sanity!) has really helped me get to grips with  becoming a new mam!

This is completely free!

It will be my final farewell to Bailieborough, where I started yoga over 4 years ago!! I've had an amazing time teaching during that time, in person and via zoom during covid. It was a pleasure, however my new yoga baby is keeping me on my toes and Saturday's in Cavan are no longer possible.
To all my regulars*, if you are around on Tuesday morning please do pop in - I'd love to see you.
Normal yoga etiquette won't apply for this class, ie the door will be left open 😂

Lot's of love, Cathy x

The time has finally come to down my yoga teaching tools and step off the mat (although I will be very much living on the mat for the next month in prep for baby!)

To all my lovely students, thank you for allowing me to guide you through each yoga session and trusting me with your practice.

This weekend is my last Vinyasa flow class and to celebrate I will have some cake and treats so do stick around it you have time!

Look forward to seeing you all, and as usual drop in spaces available via the website

Cathy (& bump) x

🌈Rainbow Yoga, May 6th at 11.30am🌈

Hello everyone! Last year I organised a Yoga flow to raise funds for Cardiac Risk In The Young following the sudden passing of my beautiful friend Cat on July 1st 2021. In the weeks and months following Cat's passing, CRY was a huge support to Cat's family and friends.

I'd like to help raise funds for CRY so that they can continue to support families who sadly experience the same sudden passing of a loved one.

I'm holding this yoga class a little earlier this year as I'm not sure how flexible I'll be with my growing bump around Cat's anniversary in July.

Our yoga flow will include a mix of movement and mediation and everyone is welcome to attend. It will also be pregnancy friendly, which really goes without saying ❤️

If you would like to attend please book via my website by following the link in my bio and you can donate on the day or if you would like to donate but cannot attend you can donate at the following link. All donations big or small will be greatly received by CRY.

About me

I have been practicing Yoga for almost three years now, having decided that I didn’t really enjoy the gym and although I love running, my knees didn’t love me for it! Having bow legs meant my knees really suffered after long runs so I decided to reduce the amount I was running and take up yoga! I fell in love with yoga immediately! It instantly made me feel better, lighter, happier and balanced. It allowed me to stretch & move my body after a long day sitting at my desk and silenced my mind from the craziness of life!

One of my favourite things about yoga is that your practice is your own and you get to know your mind & body in a way you can’t imagine. You share your energy with fellow yogis who in turn share their energy with you, creating an amazing environment that is safe, warm & welcoming.

People do yoga for many different reasons; to increase flexibility, for strength, balance (both physically and mentally), stress release, to perfect their headstands, but I do yoga not only because of the amazing benefits mentioned above, but because it also allows me to self-reflect, practice kindness & compassion and gives me the ability to grow both in mind and spirit.

I decided to do my yoga teacher training with Quaternity Yoga School in France in the summer of 2019 having realised that my interest didn’t just lie on the mat. I became increasingly more interested in the bio-mechanical & psychological side of Yoga. Although I was feeling the benefits of yoga, I wanted an explanation!
