A huge thanks to all who contributed to The Gift Of Life team that completed the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon 2019. We are delighted to announce that the final figures are in and we raised €10,058.26 for Irish Heart and Lung Transplant Association. We are very grateful to everyone involved and the funds raised will help many families and patients.

Cliona Marley presented the cheque to Robert McCutcheon (Chairman) Irish Heart and Lung Transplant Association. Also present were Tomsi Baby & Barbara Parlon (Post Transplant Nurse Specialists) and Emer Joyce (Consultant Cardiologist)

Thanks to Emma O'Carroll and Zoe Stephenson for getting the employees at Optum on board and for sponsoring our t-shirts and thank you Marie O Donnell for designing them.

Please take the time to have a chat with your family about your views on organ donation. Consider if you would be happy giving someone the Gift of Life. There are many very sick people waiting on the transplant list. Organ donation saves lives. Making the decision to donate organs is the most important gift we can ever give. Making friends and family aware of how you feel and your wishes on organ donation are the key steps towards saving lives.
