Is your repeat prescription due??

This is your reminder to check your medication ahead of the May bank holiday weekend.

We are increasingly busy and appreciate it when you phone or email us in advance to order your prescriptions. We are requesting a minimum of 24-48 hours’ notice for prescriptions as we are so busy and the doctors need more time to review the prescriptions.

Shannondoc will be on call from 5.30pm Thursday 17th April until 8.00 am Tuesday 22nd April.

Requests for Call Backs from GP or Nurse

When you ring the surgery, requesting a call back the receptionist will ask a few questions regarding the nature of the call. Our receptionists are there to help you by directing your call to the right member of the team and with the right level of priority.

If if the issue is urgent you will get a call back on the day.

For non-urgent queries, it may take a number of days for the GP/nurse to call you back.

The doctors and nurses have an extremely volume of calls to do each and everyday so appreciate your patience.

Please bear in mind that the doctor and nurses are also having a full day of seeing patients so will make the calls as soon as they get a chance.

This may likely be at the end of morning surgery or in the evening time when they have finished seeing patients who have booked in for face to face appointments.

If you are expecting a call from the GP or the nurse, please try to keep your phone with you with the volume turned on so as to ensure they reach you when they try to ring. Also if you have changed your phone number recently, please ensure that we have your most up to date number.

We thank you for our continued co-operation with us during these extremely busy times for all our staff.

Cancel Appointments:

If you have made an appointment to see one of the doctors or the GP and are unable to make it, please let us know asap.

You can do so by phoning us on 065 6837604 or emailing:

reception@burrenmedical.com

If you cannot get through on the phone, please leave us a voicemail.

We are under extreme pressure these days for appointments. The appointments are often full up before we even start surgery for that day.

We continue to have people who have appointments made but fail to turn up.

If you could let us know that you can't make your appointment that would help us enormously and we can offer the appointment to another patient who really needs to be seen.
