Want your practice to be the top-listed Clinic?
Counselling is an agreed professional piece of work between a qualified counsellor / psychotherapist and the client. It's purpose is to provide a safe, confidential environment to explore the losses, stresses, confusion, conflict and other pain during life crises.
Philomena’s style of counselling is to listen, support and perhaps help with insight to either change what is possible to change, or to live more contentedly and creatively with that which is not. Neither judging or condoning thoughts, feelings or behaviours. Not giving advice, making diagnosis or prognosis or evaluatory reports, nor in any way dis-empowering the client from finding their own solutions to the situation.
Counselling and Psychotherapy is a talking therapy. Through talking with a professional Counsellor and Psychotherapist you may become aware of patterns in your life that may not be serving you well. Counselling and Psychotherapy provides support in times of change. A professional Counsellor and Psychotherapist can assist and facilitate in the alleviation of difficulties or stresses in ones life.
Challenges and difficulties in your life are normal from time to time. However, they can be overwhelming making us feel helpless and powerless. Stress over a job, anxiety caused by uncertainty over the future, overwhelming fear, loss or bereavement, problems over addiction or difficulties in a relationship are just some of the reasons why people feel they can benefit by talking to a professional Counsellor or Psychotherapist.
