If u want to become more “present” n ur life start by punctuating ur day by being fully aware of your thoughts emotions & sensations while doing a daily task (your doing it anyway) so just do it “fully aware & Switched on” … like when you have your next tea/coffee- come in to the moment, engage all 5 -senses, taste, touch, smell, sounds, sight while noticing how u r n this moment ie. the weather pattern of your mind, is it clam, anxious, racing, neutral , connect with your breathing while you have your tea/coffee, …doing routine activities like this a number of times a day creates new awareness, try other activities such as washing the dishes, walking up the stairs, locking the front door, try it & let me know how u get on! overtime the results r incredible

Take a moment to focus on where you are in both mind & body, checking in and take yourself out of autopilot by simply noticing your feet on the ground and be fully conscious of 2 full in & out breaths, this creates space to see clearly again ❤️

It’s an inside job!

Happiness is a mindset, a conscious choice we make every day. It isn't about having a perfect life, but about finding joy in the little things, cultivating gratitude, and focusing on the positives, even in challenging times. While circumstances can influence our mood, true happiness comes from within-it's an attitude that allows us to see the beauty in imperfections and to appreciate what we have rather than what we lack. By choosing to embrace a mindset of happiness, we empower ourselves to live more fulfilling lives, regardless of the ups and downs that come our way. Happiness is not something to chase; it's something to create from the inside out.

The only moment we are ever alive is always “Now”. This is so helpful when you become overwhelmed with different thoughts and emotions regarding the past or anxious about what’s to come in the future. Drop all the mind stories and bring your focus of attention right back to now. Just deal with that. How? Use the acronym A.G.E = Awareness of your thoughts/emotions/body sensation. Gathering your attention to focus on breathing or feet in ground. Expand your awareness back out to take in your surroundings etc.

“Mindfulness for Better Mental Health” course coming soon! Our internal dialogue can really make or break us. By becoming aware of your thinking you can literally change your life. Be kind to yourself, give yourself the same compassion you would give a good friend, self compsssion is essential for our overall wellbeing. Most of us aren’t aware of our thinking. Try becoming the “observer” of your thoughts, and remember you don’t have to believe every thought you think!! The 60,000-80,000 thoughts we think each day are normally repeated from yesterday which creates the same results day in day out. If you want to change your life you begin by changing your thoughts. Mindfulness Classes - Ashton Adult Education Starts Tuesday 25th September 2018 (8weeks), Registrations now being taken.

Chillax Programme - Working in National Schools in Cork helping children with anxiety, stress, worry, enabling them to calm themselves using simple techniques aswell as meditations, body awareness, mindfulness. The class includes personal development skills, learning affirmations, visualisations for raising self esteem, self confidence and nurturing compassion, kindness & empathy.
