The topic of Su***de is one that may generate huge discomfort. The HSE in conjunction with The National Office for Su***de Prevention have a new 1 hr online course on this topic called "Let's talk about su***de". It has some basic useful resources that can assist you if you are concerned for a family member, relative, friend, work colleague or member of the public in distress. Starting the conversation can be difficult but it may change someones outlook when they realise you care enough to spend the time to listen.
