✨ Start strong with AAC in September✨

That’s a wrap, everybody! 🎉 Thank you for following along with Start Strong with AAC in September. Over the past 4 weeks, we’ve explored practical ways to make AAC part of everyday school life. From keeping devices accessible, to modelling across routines, to celebrating all kinds of communication.

This series was designed to show that small steps, taken consistently, make a big difference. Each word modelled, each routine practised, and each success celebrated helps students build confidence and independence with their AAC.

To all the teachers, SNAs, therapists, and families who joined in - thank you! 🤩 By committing to model, to pause, to listen, and to include, you’ve shown your students that their voices truly matter.

🦖 Your student loves dinosaurs? That’s a wonderful opportunity to model core words like big, go, run, look alongside fringe words such as dinosaur or T-Rex to make communication meaningful.
