Zoë Dunlop Doyle Acupuncture

Zoë Dunlop Doyle Acupuncture Every symptom is a sign of imbalance in the body. Acupuncture can support your body back to balance. Hi, my name is Zoë and I am a licensed acupuncturist.

I completed my 3 year diploma in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in Lansdowne College under the tuition of Vincent Carroll. I chose to study acupuncture and TCM as it is a holistic medicine that takes into account all aspects of a person; physical health, constitution, diet, lifestyle, traumas, feelings, thoughts and medical history. Our bodies express symptoms when there is imba

lance in the body, it is a message to be listened to, letting us know that something in our life needs to change. The severity and chronicity of the symptom lets us know how a big or small the change needs to be. Through the practice and theory of acupuncture I have learned how to understand the body’s symptoms or messages and the methods of treatment. Acupuncture can bring the body back to balance and regain resiliency. I recognise that an individual is unique and complex therefore treatment should be individualized for the person’s needs. My goal is to help my clients feel healthier and more vibrant in their body and feel more peace in their mind. Reach out to me for a chat to see how acupuncture can help you on your journey of healing.

Acupuncture for nervous system regulation. When we insert needles into specific points on the body, we can influence the nervous system by calming it down and bringing it into the parasympathetic state where we feel more at ease in our bodies.

Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing which can feel so uncomfortable at times.

We live in a very Yang orientated society, busyness and the go go go attitude is valued however we also need down time or Yin time where we rest in non doing. We need the non doing to give us energy for the doing!

Yin and Yang theory in simplistic terms! Yin and Yang is the foundation of any treatment in Chinese medicine. Ideally, we want them to be in balance as much as possible, so that we can feel healthy and vibrant and express our true nature! 🤸‍♀️🙌🙏😌☯️

Chinese medicine and Western medicine have strengths and weaknesses and they can complement each other very well.

They have different ways of perceiving illness and, therefore, different approaches to treatment. Chinese medicine looks for links in the signs and symptoms that are present for a person and the reason behind why they are present. When we look at their state of mind, medical history, lifestyle, perception of the world and diet, we can see why the dis-ease is manifesting in this way.

We've all been there, we get a symptom, maybe it's a headache, period pains or anxiety, most of us automatically get annoyed for having it and try to resist it or fix it.

But instead we have the option of looking at the symptom differently, we can feel it, observe it let it be there , what is it telling us? Do we need to take a few breaths to ease the anxiety or question the thoughts that are causing it or if its a headache are we going going going and not taking a break?

It's definitely difficult to do but it's it's practice and helps us in the long run.

The body and mind cannot be separated, so when we think of treating our health we need to look at both of them together. 🙌

No matter what our current state of health is or our relationship to body image, our bodies are amazing. Acknowledge and practice gratefulness for all that it does for you ❤️

Our bodies can only prioritise healing in a calm state, when we're in a state of chronic stress, the body feels unsafe and isn't prioritising healing. Acupuncture can help bring us to an environment of healing within our bodies ❤️
