Neuromuscular Therapy is a Physical Therapy specialising in the treatment of soft tissue pain and injury. It improves the function and flexibility of the body's joints and muscles. It enhances the body's natural self healing ability by facilitating the return of the appropriate core muscle function throughtout the entire kinetic chain. Special focus is given to the treatment of trigger points, local ischemia, neural interferences, postural and biomechanical dysfunctions, nutritional factors and emotional wellbeing. Through the hands on application of specialised techniques such as STR (soft tissue release), Postional Release, Strain/Counter Strain, Massage etc., homeostasis is restored between the nervous, the skeletal and the soft tissue systems. Treatment encourages circulation and enhances lymphatic drainage therefore influencing inflammatory processes. Everyone can benefit from Neuromuscular and Physical Therapy.
The main clinic is situated in Carrigeen Street and also in The Natural Health Store, North Main Street, Wexford.
