We’re back! Classes resume from Wednesday, 7th January at Ballymaloe Grainstore.

This week’s practice is slower and more intentional — a chance to explore how your body moves when given time and attention. We’ll work through a considered, full‑body sequence that supports mobility and joint health, with Controlled Articular Rotations (CARS) woven naturally into the flow.

CARS are slow, precise movements that help you understand your joints from the inside out. They build awareness, strength, and control at the edges of your range — not by pushing, but by paying attention. Over time, this kind of work changes how you move, both on and off the mat.

It’s a practice for people who are curious about their bodies, who want movement that feels intelligent and supportive.

This week’s classes:
Wed 6:30–7:30pm — experienced beginner
Thu 9:30–10:30am — wake‑you‑up morning practice
Sat 10:00–11:20am — mixed-level weekend class
Sun 11:00–12:20pm — mixed-level Weekend Flow

Online options available.

Private 1:1 sessions are also available — ideal for injury recovery, building confidence, improving mobility. Each session is tailored to your specific needs.

We’re back! Classes resume from Wednesday, 7th January at Ballymaloe Grainstore.

Happy New Year to you all, I wanted to take a moment to share a few words.

This time of year often invites wishes for love, happiness, peace, good health, and kindness and I wish all of those things for you, deeply and sincerely.

But life doesn’t always unfold that way. Sometimes it’s challenging, unpredictable, and painful.

Life asks things of us. It tests us. It stretches us. Learning to stay present, to respond rather than react, to meet difficulty with awareness , this is not easy work.

Yet it’s through all of it , both the light and the shadow that we grow into stronger, more compassionate, more resilient versions of ourselves.

So as we step into this new year, I wish you love, health, kindness, and connection.

May this year bring steadiness and perspective, and the reminder that you’re allowed to meet life as it is, not as you think it should be. Grá x

This 4-week focused course will explore the Core Connection — how your core stabilizes and supports your body, from the diaphragm and pelvic floor to the deep abdominal muscles and obliques. Through mindful, practical exercises, we’ll strengthen and integrate your core for better movement and body awareness.

New Yoga Courses Begin This Week in East Cork

If you’ve been carrying stress in your body, feeling stiff or out of balance, yoga can help you reset.

Yoga is a personal journey of self-development.

“One of the many translations of the word ‘yoga’ means union—the harmonious connection of mind, body, and breath. While yoga offers numerous physical benefits, its true essence lies in cultivating ease within the mind.”
Gráinne, founder of Dandelion Yoga, brings a wealth of experience from studying various yoga styles to her body alignment-based Vinyasa classes. Known for her creative fluidity and emphasis on alignment, Gráinne’s classes leave students feeling balanced both physically and mentally. Her refined attention to detail and precise action cues guide students to explore postures deeply, expanding their comfort zones while finding ease.
Gráinne’s personal journey with yoga began as she sought relief from chronic back pain, dedicating herself to daily practice. Her commitment led to increased strength and mobility on and off the mat.
As both a student and teacher of yoga, she continues to explore and learn, deeply grateful for the wisdom passed down by her teachers, which you feel in her grounding classes.

September Yoga at Dandelion Yoga
New Courses, Taster Weeks & Autumn Reset

“We can use the breath to find out how we want to feel — hopefully starting with creating good patterns.” — Matt Giordano

In our upcoming sessions, we’ll explore breath as a bridge between intention and ease — something you can carry off the mat, too.

As the season shifts, it’s the perfect moment to return to your practice — whether you’re brand new, re-starting, or looking to deepen your connection with your body and mind.

What’s Coming Up:

September Taster Classes (Sept 3 & 10)
Curious about yoga? These Taster Classes are a chance to come along, try a class, and see how it feels — no pressure, no long-term commitment.

Beginners Course (Tuesdays, 6:30–7:15pm, Grainstore)
Learn the foundations of movement, breath, and alignment in a supportive space designed for complete beginners. Over 6 weeks, you’ll build strength and confidence, gently and steadily.
Price: €72 for the full 6-week course.

Autumn Reset: Experienced Beginners (Wednesdays, 6:30–7:30pm, Carrigaun)
A 6-week course designed to refine alignment, strength, and fluid movement for those with some yoga background.
Price: €72 for full course or €15 drop-in if spots remain.
