Nope, it most certainly isn’t, not when you lie down to sleep and the load just pours in 🌊. All the thoughts, all at the same time, and you lie there trying to answer them, question them, try ignoring them, but they just keep coming.

Then you panic about not sleeping how tired you’ll be.. it never ends. 😩

It happens to us all because it’s life and we are human, we get overwhelmed with things, stressed, we can let ourselves overthink the smallest thing because we maybe coming from a place of fear.

So how can we create a calm mind? This is what I do & many of my clients find these little tools help. You don’t need all, maybe just one or two ➡️

• Non negotiable is your breath, try some breathing before you get into bed or while in bed when the thoughts come. Focusing on your breath will bring the body back into a state of clam, it triggers your parasympathetic nervous system. It diverts attention from racing thoughts.
•Accepting the thoughts as the flood in “Yes I see you” Don’t try to push them away or ignore they’ll just come back twice as hard.
•A simple quick body scan can help reduce the heart rate & diverting the attention from the thoughts do this in detail, you’ll soon fall asleep.
•Write it out, load all that stuff out of your head onto paper. It gives you permission to let go. Journaling reduces cognitive arousal one of the biggest barriers to sleep.

Reiki also is a great tool to help it calms the nervous system & your energy. Creating stillness your mind needs to let go. The results are deeper calmer more peaceful sleep.

• lowered your cortisol level
• anchored yourself to the present moment
• improved your emotional state
• created some gentle self awareness
• released a little tension

🪷 Reiki and sound healing are also great ways to enhance mindfulness as they guide you into that same present, calm awareness, but in a way that’s effortless and supported. You don’t have to try to do it the vibration or energy brings you there.

I do think sometimes my God here I am little me (cause I am little) getting beautiful reviews, referrals etc and why I just do what I love and hope that the person loves it too.

We are too hard on ourselves at times whether it’s with work, family or friends “am I doing enough” “do they like me” and so on.

YES you are, ( I need to tell myself this a lot) just doing your best that’s all I can expect from myself and that’s all we need to give 💚

It’s ok to clap for yourself every once in a while 👏

Which tip will you try today?

1) Start your day with an intention “Today I choose calm, my energy is my own”

2) Use your breath to reset (anytime of the day)…. Inhale for 4…. Hold for 2.. Exhale for 6……

3) Spend time in silence, silence clears the energetic noise we pick up from others.

4) Rebalance with a Reiki or Sound healing session, Think of it as an energetic reset button.

Meet Jason (not his real name) a lovely, funny soul that has been coming to my space for a while now & was happy for me to share his story…⬇️

Jason was your typical lad as he puts it working, heading out at weekends, meeting mates for training or going to matches, wondering where the next lads trip would take them as they all loved to travel ✈️

Jason came to me after he suffered a heart attack at the age of 34. After his time in hospital & recovery he felt himself that he just couldn’t get back to the way he was. Something that maybe we can’t do after such a traumatic event, we start to evolve into someone different.
He was suffering badly with anxiety & fear.. Fear of his own body that this would happen again. His body was healing on the inside but the fear & anixety was overwhelming.

Jason has worked very hard & is still working hard on himself & through his Reiki & breath work sessions we have focused on helping his nervous system relax, now he’s sleeping better, feeling better within himself & most importantly slowly regaining trust in his body.

I’m very proud of Jason & I’m privileged to hold space for him & all my clients. He is facing his fear & turning it on its head, using his tools everyday & embracing this “new lad” he’s becoming! 👏

🌀 Energy can be compared to water because it flows, moves, sometimes it gets stuck or can lie still, just like water in a river.

🌀 Just as water travels through rivers & streams energy flows through our bodies,along pathways often called chakras or meridians. When it’s flowing freely everything flows smoothly within life.

🌀 When energy gets blocked in our mind or body it becomes stagnant much like when water can’t flow anymore and it can show up as stress, tension, tiredness.

🌀 But much like water energy can be redirected, cleared, restoring balance to the environment, & Reiki works in a similar way, it gently helps energy move, clearing the blockages & restoring harmony.

🌀 Think of energy as water it helps us understand a little more about how Reiki is gentle, flowing & restorative. Reiki helps restore that natural flow releasing tension & restoring peace, clam & balance.
