From this week’s practice of twists and backward extensions. Recently tried this progression of
Something about it feels so elegant. Playing with the head position gives different stretch to the shoulder blades and upper back. This deep spinal twist feels deeply cleansing and energizing.

“Ardha means half. In the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Matsyendra is mentioned as one of the founders of Hatha Vidya. It is related that once Lord Shiva went to a lonely island and explained to his concert Parvati the mysteries of yoga. A fish near the shore heard everything with concentration remained motionless well listening. Shiva realising that the fish learned yoga, sprinkled water upon it and immediately the fish gained divine form and became Matsyendra, Lord of the Fishes, and thereafter spread the knowledge of Yoga. This deep lateral twist is dedicated to Matsyendra” #יוגה #יוגהישראל

“The toughest battle of the soul; having the passion to say yes to what you love; having the courage to say no to what doesn’t love you. And even harder, the wisdom to tell the difference. “
Rediscovered this poem in a journal from 4.5 years ago. Not my writing, author unknown. What karmic significance to read these words of strength & honesty during a personal time of turmoil; confronting fears, moving to a new home, uprooting & replanting; sowing seeds for personal growth. 🕯
“After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul
And you learn that love does not mean leaning
And company does not mean security
And you begin to learn that kisses are not contracts and presents are not promises
~~~~
And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes open
With the grace of a woman
Not the grief of a child
And you learn to build your roads on today
Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans
And futures have a way of falling down mid flight
~~~
After a while you learn
That even sunshine burns if you get too much
So you plant your own garden
And decorate your own soul
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers
And you learn that you can endure,
That you are strong
That you have self worth
And that you learn and you learn…”
🪔These specific asanas have brought me clarity, courage & confidence, unveiling my sight & intuition after years of gathering dust.
The practice of yoga truly is a light admist a world of chaos, a light to be shared, & once lit, will burn brighter & stronger as we continue along the journey with ourselves & others.

This week’s progression in . “There are two kinds of practice in yoga. When you are totally absorbed in it, without the reflection of past impressions, but doing and adjusting from moment to moment towards perfection and precision, it becomes spiritual. If you are oscillating, if your mind is wandering, or if there is a difference between yourself, your body, your mind, your thoughts, then it is sensual, though you may be practicing yoga and though you may call it spiritual. You are a beginner in yoga. I too I am a beginner from where I left my practice yesterday. I don’t bring yesterdays poses to today’s practice period I know yesterdays poses but when I practice today I become a beginner. I don’t want yesterday’s experience, I want to see what new understanding may come in addition to what I felt up to now. in this quest my body is my bow my intelligence is my arrow in my target is myself. I am aware inside and I am aware outside. we must learn to stretch the bow well before we can hit the target so go on extending the bow of your body. then the arrow of your intelligence will become sharp, and when you release the arrow, it will hit the target which is your soul. don’t worry about the target, when the bow is stretched well and the arrow is sharp, you will hit it.” BKS Iyengar, The Tree of Yoga. #יוגהישראל

🙈😸🌊First time standing up from ! Continuing the journey of backbending, which once brought up so much paralyzing fear, and moving forward - or up, in this case! Fear of standing up from wheel , brings me to the face of my fear. I’m slowly dismantling it, through sadhana, dedicated daily practice on & off the mat. 🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙 “For fear, real fear, such as shakes you to your foundation, such as you feel when you are brought face to face with your mortal end, nestled in your memory like a gangrene: it seeks to rot everything, even the words with which to speak of it. So you must fight hard to express it. You must fight hard to shine the light of words upon it. Because it you don’t, if your fear becomes a wordless darkness that you avoid, perhaps even manage to forget, you open yourself to further attacks of fear because you never truly fought the opponent who defeated you.” -Life of Pi 🐅🐅

Daily yoga practice is what keeps me tethered to the ground, especially in the last few months with the state of our world.
Some days are more exciting and the practice comes easily. other days I lack energy, focus or time... but still I unroll my mat. some days the emotions & tears need to flow and release. the practice is truly a home for me. Something special in the Ashtanga yoga method. All I need is a mat, and at minimum, just myself. The practice goes with me everywhere and it’s there for me when I show up. I’m reminded again and again to be kind and compassionate, to listen more, and to release what isn’t needed. 🙏 to my teacher & for the photo and endless support ❤️❤️❤️ #יוגהישראל #אשטנגהיוגה

Molly believes the path of yoga can help heal nearly everything that causes suffering -mental, emotional, physical and spiritual.
She came to this belief after beginning a physical yoga practice that was on and off again for many years. After feeling a change in her body and mind after more consistent practice, she began a process of self-inquiry, an inward journey that led her to complete a yoga teacher training winter 2015, in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga in Athens, GA, at Rubber Soul Yoga, a donation based studio. Molly began teaching in that year, and immediately loved that she could pass on to people something that brought them joy, a smile to their face, a moment of clarity during a busy week… Prior to that, Molly had been practicing on her own for 6 years. Her first experience with yoga was in her bedroom as a teenager, following a YouTube video.
During the autumn of 2017, Molly completed another teacher training in Ashtanga & Hatha yoga in Mysore, India.
Molly currently teaches yoga in Be’er Sheva, Israel.
Apart from teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Molly’s classes are a dynamic combination, blending elements from Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and even gentle and restorative yoga. She loves seeing students leave with a sense of peace and return with confidence. Her approach is to facilitate practitioners to relax, strengthen, cleanse, and heal the body and mind through the physical practice of yoga asana (postures) and pranayama (breath control).
