Degania Medical extends a big ‘thankyou’ and a warm embrace to Omri Mairon and Steve Bellin, both of whom are retiring after more than 20 years with the company.



Omri began his long career at Degania Silicone Ltd., as chief engineer and later became CTO of the Degania Medical group. Over the years, he has been the revered mentor of the younger engineers who joined his department and had the good fortune to find themselves under his guidance. Omri is a very active person with many diverse areas of interest and we wish him an enjoyable, fruitful and fulfilling retirement!



Steve, as director of our US branch, Degania Silicone Inc., was responsible for marketing and sales in North America. He has traveled back and forth extensively over the years, between Israel and Rhode Island and has dedicated long hours to building up the US market during that time. Suffice to say that the company has reaped the benefit of his efforts. Steve also enjoys a diversity of interests and activities and we hope he will now have the time to explore them all to the full!

A big “thank you” to Yosef Michaelov who has finally decided to leave Degania Silicone Ltd. and become a pensioner at the grand age of 85! Yosef has worked in the company for many years as a computer draftsman, to his enjoyment and our immense satisfaction! But don’t think for a moment that Yosef is going to be idle… he now plans to study and will be taking courses at the local retirees college. We want to wish Yosef all the best with his future endeavors, which we are certain will be interesting, enriching and plentiful!

We are also taking leave of Angie Avshalomov – the office manager of our busy Engineering Department. Angie is off to the US for one year’s leave of absence. However – she will be back! She has promised to return to us in September 2015 to take up her duties once again, in her usual efficient and effective manner. We wish Angie a very happy year abroad but we look forward to her return!
