כל הבדיקות יצאו תקינות - רק "גלרי" גילתה את הסרטן של יעל.
יעל עשתה ממוגרפיה, אולטרסאונד ובדיקת כירורג - הכול יצא תקין. רק בדיקת דם חדשנית - "גלרי" - איתרה בגופה סרטן שד, רגע לפני שזה היה מאוחר מדי. "זו בדיקה מצילת חיים", היא אומרת בכתבה שפורסמה ב-ynet.
גלרי, שמבוססת על ריצוף גנטי מתקדם, מסוגלת לזהות למעלה מ־50 סוגי סרטן בבדיקת דם אחת בלבד. מחקר חדש שהוצג בכנס האונקולוגיה האירופי מצא כי שילוב שלה עם בדיקות הסקר הרגילות מגדיל פי 7 את שיעור מקרי הסרטן המתגלים מוקדם, עם 92% דיוק בזיהוי מקור הגידול. וכן, הבדיקה זמינה גם בישראל.

בדיקות סקר שגרתיות לגילוי מוקדם של סרטן מצילות חיים, אך 70% ממקרי המוות מסרטן נובעים מסוגי סרטן שאין עבורם בדיקות סקר שגרתיות.
כעת, אפשר לגלות יותר מ-50 סוגי סרטן בשלב מוקדם ולהגדיל את הסיכוי לריפוי. בדיקת הדם “גלרי” מבית אונקוטסט הוכחה במחקרים שכללו כ-400 אלף משתתפים כבדיקת סקר מדויקת ביותר, גם לסוגי סרטן קטלניים וגם לפני שמופיעים תסמיני מחלה.
במקרה של חשד לסרטן, הבדיקה הוכיחה במחקרים דיוק של למעלה מ-90% באיתור מקור הגידול בגוף.

מחקר חדש שהוצג בכנס האונקולוגי האירופי חושף נתונים מרגשים: בדיקת הדם החדשנית "גלרי" מבית אונקוטסט הצליחה לזהות עשרות סוגי סרטן – רובם בשלבים מוקדמים - ברמת דיוק גבוהה במיוחד.

המחקר, הגדול מסוגו עד כה, מצא כי הבדיקה מסוגלת לזהות בדיוק של 92% את מיקום הגידול בגוף, והיא מאתרת פי שבעה יותר מקרי סרטן כאשר מבוצעת בשילוב בדיקות הסקר הקיימות.

Let's talk about cancer:
In 2020, 11,752 people died from cancer in Israel. (1)

Breast cancer is the most prevalent among Israeli women, with approximately 4,500 diagnoses and about 900 deaths annually. (2)

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among Israeli men, with an incidence rate of 65.6 per 100,000 persons per year. (3)

The number of lung cancer cases in Israel increased by 33% over a decade, with approximately 200 new cases diagnosed every month. (4)

These statistics highlight the significant impact of cancer on the Israeli population and underscore the importance of continued efforts in prevention, early detection, and treatment.

This is exactly why we continue to emphasize the use of the Galleri test and the impact that it has on early detection for more than 50 different types of cancers.
