Repost When you trade fortune for happiness… you find family. ✨🇮🇱
What’s better than making Aliyah?
Finding the family you were meant to have.
This weekend, on the Shabbat before my birthday, my friend Ayan — who I met during Ulpan at University — and his incredible family opened their home, their table, and their hearts to me. They traded their fortune for happiness… just like I did. And somehow, in this little sliver of Israel, our stories lined up like a double rainbow all the way across the sky — What does it meeean?! It means… I’m home.
His daughter Luna, who is pure light. And her hunk, they met on the beach, so
His cooking — I’m not being dramatic — chef level.
The homemade tiramisu they surprised me with.
The laughter. The warmth. The sense of belonging you can’t buy, fake, or manufacture.
Aliyah is courage.
Aliyah is sacrifice.
But most of all — Aliyah is family you didn’t know you had until they pull out an extra chair at their Shabbat table… and suddenly you’re home.
To everyone making their way here — or thinking about it — this is what’s waiting for you.
✨🇮🇱 From strangers in Ulpan to family in Israel.
And if that isn’t a miracle, I don’t know what is.
