Whether you identify as neuro-normative, super-divergent or something else, sounds profoundly affect your brain’s wiring, responsiveness and effectiveness.
I REALLY struggle with stuff like multiple conversations in one room, having two different noise sources in earshot (like TV in one room, radio next door) and ESPECIALLY travel-related noises like PA announcements and road rumble. The sensory overload often leaves me with panic attacks and confusion.
I choose my sounds carefully - for working on the road I always use something that will cultivate an ALPHA BRAINWAVE STATE - supportive of rich learning, deep focus and reduced distraction.
Crystal singing bowls are the PERFECT conduit - when (and only when) played correctly by someone with proper training and understanding of frequency.
My NeuroTone series (lin3in b!o) contains 03 FOCUS - a crystal soundtrack designed to do all the above. It’s what I’m listening to in this video.
I listen with my eyes closed for a few minutes and then with my brain entrained to the alpha state, I find that I can get work done even when surrounded by the many distractions of life lived on public transport! Laptop open!
Alpha brainwaves can benefit cognitive function:
* promote concentration
* help minimise external distraction
* support more decisive, clarified thinking
* can improve memory
* slow down sensory overload
* enhance drishti, dharana and dhyana (yogic interpretation of focus, stilling the mind and withdrawing the senses)
I also make the most of the right soundtrack by creating a cocoon for myself with my fave noise cancelling devices: mine are Samsung Galaxy2 Buds and I also can’t be parted from my Bose QC35II headphones or for noise control without music, my Loop Quiet2 earplugs (they filter rather than block and I can’t live without them).
Check out NeuroTone for more sounds to support your brain. I made it to help myself through the day - I hope it helps you too!
I also REALLY recommend matching your earbuds to your jumpsuit btw! 🤣
