STOP being your own enemy!

How often do you say these things to yourself!?
When you invalidate your feelings, you're also sabotaging yourself and gaslighting yourself into thinking that you are a "burden".
Think about this, will you say these things to a loved one who was suffering?
No, right?
Then why say that to yourself?

6. Have an object to hold that makes you feel like home. A blanket, soft toy, maybe a gift that brings back a loving memory.
7. If you're around nature, touch the grass, feel the air, and engage with the surroundings.
8. The age old proven technique of Deep breathing. Take slow deep breaths for a minute or two.
9. Self talk. Imagine you are talking to a friend who needs guidance and says those things to yourself.
10. Tapping. Tap your feet, hands, shoulders, stomach, back, face. Release the unwanted energy.

Choosing yourself is a long journey of realisations, mistakes, trials and errors, discoveries, turning inwards and so much more.
Here's what happens when you finally start to do it👇🏻

1. You learn more about what aligns with you, your values, your end goals and your soul🌌
2. You can finally differentiate between situations where you want to say NO and where to say YES!💪🏻
3. You get so much load off your shoulders, because all the energy that was previously used for others can be conserved and spent on yourself! Whaat!😍
4. Other people start to see the strong side of you and actually behave with you accordingly. When you choose yourself, people will see that they can't waste your time⌛
5. You start to choose the life that runs according to you and to your best interest! Saying yes to the life you want! 🌱

7. You earn and live in peace, calmness and satisfaction!😌

You see, I never decided to heal. I was in this world where every bad thing always happened to me. I believed that I was only born to suffer. I had no clue that one day I'll be on the other side, feeling lucky.
I realised that I was giving WAY too much power to every single thing other than my own capabilities. I thought, "Itna vishwas agar Mai khud pe karti toh zindagi badal jaati"
And then, I decided, to take the power back into my own hands.
And of course, that decision alone cannot change your life, but without taking that decision, you cannot change your life either.
Fast forward to 2 years, I had my own fails and wins.
There were a lot of trial and errors, mistakes made and lessons learnt. And I wanted to share it with the world.
That is why, me and my co-founder Shivangi Shah , created a self-help journal called 'The Pursuit of Happiness '🫶
The journal brings the best of both worlds- a Self-help book and a journal.
It's close to our hearts as the pages of the journal reflect our very own healing journeys.
The journal is just our bit as humans and therapists to be a support to individuals who feel lost, individuals who want change but are afraid. It's daunting to take on the responsibility to change your life not knowing where to start. Let us change that :)

Introverts are always adopted by extroverts. Introverts are so boring. Introverts lack social skills. Introverts don't have fun/ don't know how to have fun. Introverts this, introverts that.

All false statements about us, right?

I have always been an introvert (slowly developing some ambivert traits).
But guess what, I still have the best time of life even when alone.

I enjoy indulging in various different hobbies. I have a handful of people in life, but all are close to me.
Surely, early in my life I lacked friends and got jealous of the "big friend groups", but I slowly realised that I don't need too many people in my life, just the right ones.

I water my soul and mind most times. Introverts need breaks.

Introverts do not lack social skills, if we did we wouldn't even know how to keep these handful of people in our lives.
We are selectively social.

Introverts cannot and should not be judged from the outside, you need to spend ample amounts of time with us, to know us and get a taste of the different sides we have.

Introverts are observers and listeners, but we notice everything and we just see the world a little differently than others🌱

Feeling jealous is absolutely normal in a relationship, but only to a certain extent. The moment it becomes obsessive or possessive, the relationship starts having problems. Obsessive or possessive jealousy will not allow the relationship or the individuals in it to grow, to do their own thing or be themselves. That type of jealousy is a reflection of insecurities and needs self-work.

Jealousy should not be considered as a negative emotion in all situations. Healthy jealousy exists too. Sometimes your partner is worried for you, sometimes your actions are a little suspicious which needs improvement. Treat the jealousy with care and attention so it doesn't come up as a problem in your relationship again and again.
