Why Fruit is the Wrong Dessert Choice 🍎❌
It is a common habit to reach for a piece of fruit as a “healthy” dessert after dinner. However, from an Ayurvedic perspective, this combination is incompatible.
Why? Your main meal (grains, lentils, vegetables) takes several hours to digest, whereas fruit digests very quickly. When you layer fruit on top of a heavy dinner, it gets stuck in the stomach, leading to fermentation and acidity.
This process creates Ama (toxins) in the body, which is the root cause of many gut health issues.
