For those who are new here and also for those who have stayed since the start, I just wanted to share a bit about myself :)

I'm Vedanti Dave & I'm a Nutritionist focusing mainly on helping others improve their overall health by being their coach and helping them be accountable in areas of Nutrition mainly with other supportive areas of health. Also this space is to provide freely accessible information which is purely research backed. No baseless claims.

Being in the field of Nutrition since quite some time now, I complete empathize when a person tells me they feel lost and have trouble sticking to their efforts to stay health as we all know, "motivation" is not the biggest aspect to rely on always 😅

With this space, I empower people with the awareness they need about their health, be their accountability partner and help them be the best version of themselves long term where they can sustain the results and not just go back to the previous state where they had concerns :)

With a Master's in Food science and Nutrition which enabled me to guide community in the right way as scientifically possible. Guiding more than 400 people so far in achieving optimal health, that pushes me to keep growing ahead and my main goal is to empower people enough with all of the knowledge I can provide so they can personally make some excellent health choices.

I got in this area with a passion to make the community better in terms of health by first empowering myself. Seeing a lot of people struggle with health conditions and extremely confused with lots of information around this space, made me want to pursue this and I'm super glad I did! Coming from a space of empathy, I would always be a person you can reach out to when you are confused about health goals or need me as your coach or accountability buddy! ✨☺️

This space is specially designed from the core of heart to be as raw as possible. With a lot of information offered online wherever you look, especially regarding health and how to "achieve x goal in y amount/way", it does get overwhelming when there are thousands of sources.
When this space came to being, it was mainly kept as a space to provide knowledge over holistic health with focus on Ayurveda and Nutrition (Preventative health).
As time changes, it is evolving into a place where the core stays the same but mainly around NUTRITION, SUSTAINABLE HEALTH and living and mainly just holistic health.
Offering freely accessible knowledge around these areas to empower you + personal lifestyle and health offerings/plans would be a major part going ahead :) Believing in the fact that knowledge and accountability via coaching, Vedanti uVaach is the place.

You know who's going to be your skin's best friend? VITAMIN E!

In a nutshell, Vitamin E is an amazing antioxidant, meaning "They prevent oxidative damage to cells by helping to remove free radicals (the bad guys)."

-> Vitamin E fights off free radicals on the skin, which comes as a result of daily environmental stressors like unprotected sun exposure and air pollution.
-> In fighting off free radicals, vitamin E helps protect the skin from damage.
-> Additionally, vitamin E has "moisturizing and healing" benefits, and helps to "strengthen skin barrier function"
-> It is also a natural anti-inflammatory source, meaning it can help soothe the irritated skin.

Good sources of Vitamin E in food : Sunflower, safflower oils, nuts and seeds, green leafy vegetables.

Today marks the "WORLD PSORIASIS DAY"! Want to know why I'm talking about it? Read on to find out why.

Do you often times find that when you get stressed, ill or just during winters, your skin gets dry & extremely itchy? Its basically a rash but it can be also called "Psoriasis". But do you wonder why stress is involved?

Stress is a bigger trigger than eating unhealthy foods for your skin health to go off! Stress really just knocks off the whole balance and affects your cells in the end and your skin cells are one of them too!

-> That is why, people who meditate or do yoga have amazingggg skin. Definitely skin products have an effect, i mean they are "made" for that.

But unless you focus on the inside, your outside won't change and it would definitely be a mirror showing your inside health!

P.S. Hit like if you have ever said "I'm stressed & my skin is breaking out!!!" & have freaked out over that!

Soak up that yelloww gold!!!

One major reason why people have weaker bones with the advancement of technology is that they DON'T EXPOSE THEMSELVES TO SUNLIGHT!

Let me break this down for you :
• Vitamin D is basically a hormone and the sun DOESN'T give you that. It HELPS you make the vitamin (Understand the keywords).
• In absence of this important nutrient, your body can't absorb calcium quickly in the bones.

Do you know what that means?
In normal terms, it means that without Vitamin D, no matter however much calcium you consume in a day, you wont get strong bones!!

So soak up all the sunlight you can BUT don't just go out in the middle of the noon and soak it up 😂
As winter is coming, the best time to soak it up is in the mornings!!

A BONUS HINT : If you have dark skin, stay a bit longer in the sun as your skin tone would take longer for the body to convert sunlight's rays to Vitamin D!

Ugly truth : Calcium is not EVERYTHING!!

No matter how much you have milk, cheese or other milk products, if you DON'T have enough nutrients like Vitamin D or potassium or many other minerals, you CAN still be at a risk of having weak bone health!

Calcium is not the only thing your bones need in order to grow, support you or avoid giving you any fractures. Bones also need protein, lubrication in form of good fats, Vitamin D, potassium and much more.

-> Not only you need to avoid getting fractures easily, you also need to tend to good bone health constantly! - REASON - Bone health slows down as we age so in order to make it good in the long run, don't just go mad behind calcium!

Also a fun fact: Your bone density grows till you're 30! So, if you are below that age, start eating good bone healthy foods because if not, your bone density will start declining! (WE DON'T WANT THAT)

BUT
If you don't take care of your bones, you would end up nowhere! (Not now here, you optimistic people :D)

Also, if you're confused, calcium & Vitamin D is NOT the only factor for good bone health. Magnesium is another biggest factor.
Providing adequate amounts of magnesium in form of certain fruits, vegetables, nuts & seeds would give your protection against fractures, and osteoporosis.

"Life Update"

I'm guilty of feeling extra anxious and worry to no end for things like life experiences, future expectations, work, personal bonds, and so much more.

After awhile, you get used to understanding what triggers you, yet you subconsciously can't seem to get over it or do something about it.
For that, what I suggest doing is knowing the root cause and try taking steps to reduce that trigger, be it - Journaling your thoughts, reading a book, listening to a podcast, sing a song, go out, travel and so so much more.

Dive deep into what triggers you and try changing your mind towards any positive experience. For me, whenever I start feeling worry for some unforeseen situation, I stop at that moment, and swap it to a positive one by listening to a podcast which I feel helps me.
Your positive swap can be different. Find that.

My favorite podcast right now is listening to "On purpose by Jay Shetty"!

Here's what burnout actually does to your body:

Burnout is actually a side-effect of constant stress emotionally and physically. It results in negative attitude, constant fatigue, lack of energy and much more.
Significant burnout can actually lead to increased chances of physical issues like heart problems, and dysfunctions all over your body.

-> What can you do to avoid feeling that?
Try focusing more on being creative across all aspects of your life, take breaks, go for a walk, listen to a podcast or a video, do something that makes you happy.

-> How to know the root cause of burnout?
if the lack of energy is because of lack of sleep or nutrition, fix that! If it's because of lack of creativity, be more creative. Understand why it's happening and try to solve that situation in deeper aspects.
