Came for the marketing trends. Stayed for the people.
AHMPCON 2025 – Ahmedabad edition did not disappoint!
Great sessions, familiar faces, and the usual chaos of trying to catch up with everyone between talks.
I got to speak (always fun), met some incredibly sharp students (truly the highlight), and left with a head full of ideas and a phone full of selfies I forgot to take.
See you in Hyderabad this June?

Blue Tick that carries more weight than we expected!
YouTube is attempting to curb the spread of medical misinformation by verifying healthcare content creators based on their licenses and the content they upload to their channels.
Will it work? I believe it will allow lesser-known voices and brands to get their verified message across by helping them cut through the noise.
Medical content shouldn't be misleading and complicated. Consumers and patients have demanded better - and the tech giants have listened!
Which means, as content creators, we need to ensure our work is:
🙋🏻♀️We know that women’s health has not received the attention it deserves. ⬆️But with the rise of digital health, the investment in Femtech initiatives have increased .
📈In 2019 it was estimated that €180bn is being spent on femtech products each year.
🩺Areas of interest - infertility, reproduction, menstruation, sexual health as well as detecting and treating chronic diseases or other medical conditions.
📍Why is focus on femtech increasing ?
Because more women are opting for tech roles that were traditionally held by men. As this representation grows, awareness of health issues, which significantly affect women, is increased.
👩⚕️👩⚕️The Women of Wearables organization focusing on creating a tight-knit community for supporting female entrepreneurship in every area, compiled a list about the top 100 women in “femtech” and health tech, recognizing the hard work of women entrepreneurs in the field.
🇮🇳 India has a unique patient demographic where the women in the urban areas have readily adopted digital healthcare, because they have easy access to it .
🎯 The goal now should be to find ways to get this technology to the rural areas, and accessible to all socio economic groups .
Pipe dream or impending revolution ?

🚩Reminder to Persevere !
🔹The toughest time in any process , creative or otherwise , is when you feel like you ‘ve hit a brick wall and can’t see beyond it .
🔹It can be frustrating and the choice to leave it all behind and walk away can be tempting.
🔹At those points .. we remind ourselves to .. turn a corner , one small step at a time ( with Plenty of Coffee ☕️breaks if required !) and get on with it !
🎊Those mountains you climb .. the view is fantastic from up there ! 🤩

The world is changing. Human interactions have shifted online and as health care professionals and service providers, we need to find a way to get our patients to actively engage with us.
While medicine in India is still a word-of-mouth industry, there is a rising number of consumers who actively look for answers to their health concerns online. Unfortunately, a lot of the information patients receive can be overwhelming or inaccurate. Therefore, we believe that patients would benefit greatly from hearing directly from their own doctors , about the questions that may occur to them, regarding common ailments, recent diagnostic or treatment guidelines and tips on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
We’re here to help you create meaningful, useful , creative and engaging content for patients as well as peers, students , publications or companies in the healthcare industry. This includes:
Blog posts for websites
Articles/ Editorials
Case Reports / Review of Literature
Newsletters
We also need to meet our patients where they are often found these days : On Social Media. This includes :
Optimising social media pages with creative content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter)
Making a Content Bank and a Marketing calendar
Building a professional network
As a practicing doctor myself, I initially found the idea of digital marketing very intimidating. However, when you push all the jargon aside, it really is about finding the best mediums to connect with people; patients and peers alike.
So keep things simple and direct. Know your target audience and create content that applies to them. Once you get started, there’s no looking back!
