“Doctor, please pray that I get pregnant.”
“I’m 38… I just want a baby.”
“I’m 40… please pray for us.”
These messages stay with me long after clinic hours end. Because behind every message is hope, fear, faith… and years of waiting.
And yes — prayer matters.
Faith gives emotional strength when the journey feels heavy.
It helps couples survive disappointment, negative tests, failed cycles, and silent heartbreak.
But here’s the truth we gently need to understand.
Faith supports the heart.
Science supports biology.
After 35, egg quality naturally starts declining.
After 38–40, fertility becomes more time-sensitive — even when reports look normal and cycles are regular.
Praying harder doesn’t slow biology.
But combining faith with timely evaluation and the right treatment can completely change outcomes.
Many pregnancies I see today happened because couples chose both — belief and action.
Pray for strength.
Pray for patience.
But also test, evaluate, and plan.
Because wanting a baby deserves more than waiting alone.
Faith and medicine are not opposites.
They work best together — giving hope a real pathway toward pregnancy.
Sometimes, the miracle begins
when prayer meets the right decision at the right time. ❤️
