a case of very rare obstetric emergency- acute uterine inversion. This patient delivered at primary health centre in borsad , and referred to tertiary care .. when patient was received, she was in shock ..the mass seen in picture is inverted uterus wth attached placenta and membranes with clots !! Successful reversion of uterus with separation of placenta , which was life saving followed by intrauterine packing done !!
As per WHO guidelines active management of third stage of labour and safe delivery practice is must for prevention of such conditions!

pt was hypertensive on metoprolol and was having past history of laminectomy done with arnold chiari malformation with hb 8. 2 pcv given..
