Prickly Heat
Heat rash and Miliaria Rubra
( घमोरियां )( અળાઈ )
Heat rash, often called prickly heat, or miliaria rubra, is not a serious condition, but an annoying and irritating one.
It is an itchy rash of small, raised red spots on the skin that can give rise to intense stinging or prickling sensations.
It can sometimes cause tiny blisters, with swelling and itching.
The rash can develop anywhere, but especially on the face, neck, back, or chest. It is caused by exposure to the sun and to hot temperatures. Young babies and infants often experience the condition.
👉🏻 CAUSES OF PRICKLY HEAT.
•Heat rashes happen most often in humid, hot weather.
When you sweat too
much, the ducts from the sweat glands in your skin become blocked.
This causes your sweat to leak into surrounding tissue, which leads to irritation. You may feel the prickly sensation that gives this condition its name.
🥺Inserious cases, though, a heat rash can come in the way of your body’s heat-regulating mechanism, which in turn can cause heat exhaustion.
Heat exhaustion, or heatstroke is a far more serious condition, that results in the body not being able to cool itself, and is termed a medical emergency.
