Here’s how to use mouthwash smartly
Fluoride mouthwash → Safe for daily long-term use in cavity-prone patients. Best right after brushing.

Chlorhexidine → A powerful antiseptic, but only for short-term use on your dentist’s advice.
Alcohol-based → May disrupt healthy microbes + cause dryness. Avoid daily use if possible.
Alcohol-free cosmetic rinses → Gentler than alcohol-based, but not essential for everyone daily. Use occasionally, or if your dentist recommends.
Bottom line: Smart use = stronger teeth + a healthier oral microbiome.
