Case: Laparoscopic Right-sided Ureteric Reimplantation for uretro vaginal fistula with Barb suture and psoas hitch

Patient presented with urinary leak on Day 15 post-TLH.

TLH was performed elsewhere for a large broad ligament fibroid.

On evaluation, a ureteric injury was identified.

Our team performed immediate laparoscopic ureteric reimplantation, restoring normal urinary function with a minimally invasive approach.

This case highlights the importance of timely diagnosis, prompt surgical intervention, and the role of advanced laparoscopic techniques in complex gynecological and urological complications.

Presenting a rare and challenging case – Laparoscopic VVF Repair in a patient with previous 3 LSCS + TLH.

🔍 Surgical Highlights:

DJ stenting with cystoscopy (preferred to prevent inadvertent suture passage through ureter).

Transverse cystostomy (minimizing large bladder incision vs. O’Connor’s approach).

Precise excision of fistulous tract, aided by vasopressin for a clear surgical field.

Double-layer closure with 2-0 barb sutures.

Bladder refilled with methylene blue to confirm watertight repair.

Vaginal closure in vertical manner for overlapping tissue support.

Omental flap placement for reinforcement.

Advancing minimally invasive solutions in complex urogynecology.

"Presenting an interesting and challenging case of Emergency Laparoscopic Cerclage at 25 weeks pregnancy with membranes bulging out.
With careful laparoscopic technique, the membranes were repositioned using a Foley’s catheter and cerclage was successfully placed.

Such complex cases highlight the role of advanced laparoscopy in safeguarding high-risk pregnancies and ensuring better maternal-fetal outcomes."

A rare case of Double Malignancy successfully managed laparoscopically!

Case Highlight:
Patient diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Cervix planned for Radical Hysterectomy. Intraoperatively, peritoneal malignant deposits were noted.

Laparoscopic Surgical Steps:

Radical hysterectomy with 6 avascular spaces dissection

Ureteric tunnel dissection

Pelvic lymphadenectomy

Removal of all involved peritoneum

Minimal blood loss

This case showcases the precision and possibilities of advanced laparoscopic gynecologic oncology surgery.
