Shaping Our Agricultural Legacy
Farmers are the backbone of our nation’s economy, and their well-being is vital for sustaining our agricultural practices and produce. However, the dynamic challenges they face call for continued support and resources to safeguard their livelihoods. In collaboration with our partner NGO, Shop For Change, we recently launched a ‘Capacity-Building Training Program’ in Jawhar, aimed at empowering tribal farmers.
This program focuses on educating farmers about regenerative agriculture, financial literacy, marketing, and branding, enabling them to optimize resources, adopt sustainable techniques, and establish strong market linkages. Regenerative agriculture, in particular, is a forward-thinking approach that not only improves farming practices but also helps reduce the carbon footprint.
The event saw the enthusiastic participation of around 300 farmers, with a significant number being women. The involvement of female farmers will be instrumental in the program’s success, as their empowerment and skill enhancement can drive transformative community development. Supporting this rural community, situated on the outskirts of a metropolitan region, is essential to helping them find their footing and contribute effectively to our economy and food ecosystem.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders for their ongoing commitment and dedication to driving positive change.
