Another landmark procedure by Drpramod Pareek:
A patient presented with unstable angina (USA), and angiography revealed a rare anomalous origin of the LAD from the RCC, as well as a critical lesion in the left main coronary artery.
The anomalous origin of the LAD from the right coronary cusp is a very rare congenital heart condition with an estimated incidence of 0.15% to 0.25% of the population, though some sources suggest a range for all coronary artery anomalies (CAA) of 0.5% to 2%. This specific anomaly is considered more dangerous than other CAAs due to its higher risk for myocardial ischemia, arrhythmias, and sudden death, especially in young individuals, due to the potential for the artery to become compressed between the aorta and pulmonary trunk.
Given the significant risk, a left main to LCX stenting procedure was performed by the expert hands of Dr. Pramod Pareek , a consultant cardiologist at JLN Medical College, Ajmer. After a thorough discussion of the risks and benefits, the procedure was a great success with a good end result.
