💧 Tear Eye Drops (Artificial Tears)

Lubricating drops that keep eyes moist, relieve dryness & protect the surface.

🔹 Uses: Dry eyes, irritation (dust/smoke/allergy), contact lens discomfort, post-surgery relief.

🔹 Types:
1. With preservatives – long shelf life, avoid frequent use.
2. Preservative-free – safer for sensitive/long-term use.
3. Gel/ointment – thicker, best at night for severe dryness.
🔹 How to Use: Wash hands → tilt head → drop in lower lid → blink gently → wait 5–10 min if using other drops.
🔹 Precautions: Don’t overuse, consult doctor for chronic dry eye, use PF if >4 times/day, store properly.

1. Blink your eyes as fast as you can for some time.
2. Close the eyes tightly for some time and then open. Do this for 5 times.
3. Roll your eyes in clockwise as well as anticlockwise direction for 5 times.
4. Look at anadvertisement or some written material from a far place and try to read it by focusing your eyes.

2. Looking directly into the sun for some time.
3. Drugs which are harmful to the eyes .
4. Cell phone, games may also be harmful.

Venkata Swamy Sir
He has always been my favorite teacher from childhood. He taught me Social Studies during my 6th and 7th grade.
He played a key role in helping me get admitted into AP Residential School and has continued to guide me in my higher education and career journey.

Recently, under my counseling, he underwent cataract surgery and regained good vision.

Today, he visited my eye clinic for eye screening and refraction. I prescribed him opticals and medication as needed.

It was truly a great honor and emotional moment to treat my own teacher after 25 years.
The love and affection he has shown me has remained unchanged over all these years.
