OF SADA-E-TUL BAGH on International Girl Child Day.

At PM SHRI Government High School Nowpora Kharpora (NPKP), International Girl Child Day was not celebrated as a ritual, it was acknowledged as a reality check. A reminder that speeches alone don’t build futures; opportunities do. On this ordinary day in a quiet village school, a meaningful milestone unfolded: the release of SADA-E-TUL BAGH, the school’s annual magazine, in both print and digital form, a small act of progress in a system that rarely moves.
The event brought together people who still believe change begins at the grassroots:
1. Ms. Fouzia Paul, Hon’ble Secretary (Judge), District Legal Services Authority Anantnag - Chief Guest
2. Mr. Javaid Iqbal, Deputy CEO, Guest of Honour
3. Mr. Zaffar Iqbal, ZEO Qaimoh, Differentiated Guest
4. Representatives from RET Forum and Teachers Forum
5. Heads of Institutions from the NPKP cluster
6. Mothers of the Students &
7. Village Elders

There were no grand promises in the air, only a quiet understanding: empowerment is not a slogan, it’s access, awareness, and voice. And a magazine, stitched together with student poems, village stories, essays, and raw emotions, became more than pages. It became testimony. Proof that expression survives even where resources don’t.

International Girl Child Day is often reduced to banners and borrowed lines from textbooks. But here, it became something else, a mirror. A reminder that a girl child doesn’t need sympathy; she needs space. Space to read, write, think, argue, dream, and choose her own path without permission.
This was not just a school function. It was a quiet declaration:

"We exist. We learn. We create. We rise."
