The was successfully held in a spirit of constructive discussion and positive exchange on the and of , 2025, at the Auditorium, Building, Ultadanga, . Organised on the occasion of , the event was dedicated to commemorating the Biirth anniversary of the legend of Voluntary blood donation movement, .

The workshop brought together 69 devoted volunteer representatives from nearly all member organisations of . The workshop was further enriched by the gracious presence of of the organised voluntary blood donation movement in West Bengal, esteemed guardians of , Renowned Professionals, from and the .

The two-day workshop was formally by , Honourable of the , whose inspiring presence added significance to the occasion.

During this workshop, we proudly unveiled a special poster outlining our roadmap for the future, titled , in honour of the .

Today marks one year since he is no longer with us in his mortal form. Yet, we firmly believe that he is always with us, by our side, in every moment. He lives on in our thoughts, ideals, and aspirations. Debu Da... can never be distant from his beloved voluntary blood donation movement.

In his honor, we dedicate this National Summit of Motivators on Safe Blood Transfusion—a humble tribute to selfless visionaries like him across the country, who are no longer with us. At the same time, this Summit serves as a grand confluence of those tireless volunteers who continue to devote themselves to the service of humanity.

With unwavering dedication to the ideal of voluntary blood donation, this Summit aims to establish a completely voluntary, Safe Blood Transfusion system across the nation by 2030. United in this mission, every member organization of our Federation family stands strong and resolute.

The Federation of Voluntary Blood Donors Organisations of West Bengal (FVBDOWB) had the honor of attending the India Blood Donation NGO Conclave 2024, organized by the National Blood Transfusion Council (NBTC) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. As state-nominated representatives from West Bengal, we were pleased to receive participation certificates from Mr. Atul Goel, the Director General of Health Services.

The event took place on October 1, 2024, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, in recognition of National Blood Donation Day. Mr. Sukdeb Chattopadhyay, President FVBDOWB, and Tanwima Dhar, General Secretary FVBDOWB, represented the federation at this significant gathering.

Association of Voluntary Blood Donors West Bengal, the pioneer organization in the blood donation movement of West Bengal and a prestigious member of FVBDOWB, also actively participated as a state representative. Sri Subimal Bhattacharya represented on behalf of AVBDWB.
Due to the sad and unfortunate demise of his father, Mr. Amlan Acharya was unable to attend the event as a representative AVBDWB.

During the event, we showcased our educational and motivational strategies at an exhibition and actively engaged in group discussion sessions. Key topics included developing new regulations and laws to address malpractice in private blood banks and the establishment of Capital Blood Banks. We also discussed the vital role and active participation of voluntary blood donation organizations in enhancing blood safety & blood related health services.

Additionally, we presented our work processes and outlined the current scenario of the blood donation movement in West Bengal, sharing our views and proposals for future initiatives.
