What are the various treatment options for a couple??

In a broad view, infertility treatments can be divided into 2 parts:

1. In VIVO fertilization (fusion of s***m and oocyte happens in the body)
- Planned relation: Advising a couple to keep planed relations when the follicle ruptures simple based on cycle dates & ovulation kit.
- Follicular study: Follicular study is the monitoring of the follicular growth over the ultrasound and deciding the dates for planned relations post rupture of the follicles. Along with the follicular growth, the endometrial thickness is measured.
- Follicular study with IUI: Follicular growth is monitored, followed by intra uterine insemination. i.e husband semen sample is washed and washed s***ms are them inseminated in the uterus near the tube openings.

2. IN – VITRO FERTILIZATION:
This means fertilization occurs outside the human body. In this case the oocytes from the female partner and the s***ms from the male are processed outside the body, in an embryology lab. There are different techniques of fertilizing the s***m and ova. Based on the couples reason of infertility. The success rate of In-Vitro fertilization treatments is much higher than in vivo fertilization in sub fertile or infertile patients.

How much time will a couple take to conceive once the treatment has started??

Generally, any couple should conceive within 3 to 5 months of treatment. If that has not happened then the patient either needs to change their treatment plan or do advanced investigations or advanced treatments or take a second opinion from an infertility expert.

1. Most women will experience a cyst on the ovaries at least once, and most are painless, cause no symptoms, and are discovered during a routine pelvic exam.
2. Symptoms of an ovarian cyst include nausea, vomiting, bloating, painful bowel movements, and pain during s*x.
3. In rare cases, an ovarian cyst can cause serious problems, so it’s best to have it checked by your doctor.
The ovaries are part of the female reproductive system. They’re located in the lower abdomen on both sides of the uterus. Women have two ovaries that produce eggs, as well as the hormones estrogen and progesterone.
Sometimes, a fluid-filled sac called a cyst will develop on one of the ovaries. Many women will develop at least one cyst during their lifetime. In most cases, cysts are painless and cause no symptoms.
Ovarian Cyst Prevention
Ovarian cysts can’t be prevented. However, routine gynecologic examinations can detect ovarian cysts early. Benign ovarian cysts don’t become cancerous. However, symptoms of ovarian cancer can mimic symptoms of an ovarian cyst. Thus, it’s important to visit your doctor and receive a correct diagnosis. Alert your doctor to symptoms that may indicate a problem, such as:
• changes in your menstrual cycle
• ongoing pelvic pain
• loss of appetite
• unexplained weight loss
• abdominal fullness
Part 8 of 8: Outlook
What’s the Long-Term Outlook?
The outlook for premenopausal women with ovarian cysts is good. Most cysts disappear within a few months. However, recurrent ovarian cysts can occur in premenopausal women and women with hormone imbalances.
If left untreated, some cysts can decrease fertility. This is common with endometriomas and polycystic o***y syndrome. To improve fertility, your doctor can remove or shrink the cyst. Functional cysts, cystadenomas, and dermoid cysts do not affect fertility.
Although some doctors take a “wait and see” approach with ovarian cysts, your doctor may recommend surgery to remove and examine any cyst or growth that develops on the ovaries after menopause. This is because the risk of developing a cancerous cyst or ovarian cancer increases after menopause. However, ovarian cysts don’t increase the risk of ovarian cancer. Some doctors will remove a cyst if it’s larger than 5 centimeters in diameter.
